This is my first PHJ so I have nothing to compare it to. However, I like using it. It has good features and is easy to adjust and use. It uses aluminum billets making it sturdy with no deflection when clamping the work piece. I wish the drills had the wood thicknesses engraved on them like Kreg bits do as shown in the attached picture. But you got to love the price! The storage case is sturdy and holds everything securely.

I’ve been using the VEVOR Pocket Hole Jig Kit for a few projects now, and it’s been a solid addition to my tool collection. It feels sturdy and well-built, and it does exactly what it’s supposed to without any fuss. Setup is straightforward, and it holds materials in place securely while drilling. For the price, it’s surprisingly well-made and includes everything you need to get started. It’s not a high-end jig, but for most woodworking tasks, it gets the job done really well. Definitely a good value if you’re looking for something affordable and reliable.

The bits are sloppy in the guide bushing and allow for the bit to remove aluminum from the jig that it shouldn't as well as allow for unclean holes and tear-out. If your material is less than 3/4" then it has enough wander that allows the head of the screws to be proud of the wood's surface. I think this jig has its place especially for the price point, but most people would expect a better result and experience. Vevor could and should improve on this design by making the guide bushings tighter to the bit and extending the buhings to the face of the wood. This jig was fine for my particular project , but I could see how it could leave people dissapointed. I would buy a kreg jig for double the price, unless they fix the issues stated. This has an oppertunity to be a great jig.

This is a well made tool. Solid aluminum. Heavy. Easy to use. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Even as a beginner wood worker, I found this product to be easy to use, efficient, and very well built with metal. And, it is at a fraction of the price of some of the other name brand pocket hole jigs made out of plastic. With the built in holes, I screwed it to a base and have a ready to go jig at any time. I keep the drill bits in a box with my pocket hole screws to prevent damage to them. I would strongly recommend this product any time.

I am a hobby woodworker h, have been building projects from wood for over 50 years. I have never built anything using pocket screws until I found plans for a toy chest I want to build for my Great Nephew. This project uses pocket screws and I needed a jig. After searching Amazon I ran across this one, it looked like just what I needed. Right out of the box you can see it is well built and after cutting a couple practice pocket holes I was ready to start on my project, where it worked extremely well. I wish I would have spent the extra money for the Deluxe kit, I could have used the outer supports for the longer plywood pieces. There is no need to spend extra money for the more expensive name brand jigs.

I am giving it 5 stars even though I never used it and am returning it… reluctantly. I purchased it. Then I saw crummy reviews, and tried to cancel the same day. Too late. I ordered a Kreg on sale instead. The Kreg arrived, its polymer. Polymer is underwhelming. The Vevor arrived. It’s spectacular. It really is pretty. Space program NASA-type pretty. I submitted a question as to the material in the drill guides. The answer was not helpful. I put a magnet to the guides, and they are some sort of steel. But hardened? The case, the face clamp, the machining… it’s super nice. But I can’t chance it. Lumber is too pricey to scrap on a bad jig. I thought about doing a YouTube unbox and review, but 50 bucks is too much to risk. This may be the girl that got away. Hate to see it go back.

I used it to drill total of 16 holes then its bit got stuck with steel drill guide, it is a total failure! As I can tell, I am debugging this product, because of its quality related issues. Here are my three complaints: - The two drill bits are both 6.3", it is too short for 2x4, not much holding for drill driver. Research found out, some vendors offer 6.3" and 7", looks like a good direction to follow. - The drill bits are not sharp to cut the wood, the picture shows every thing, the slope issue, it is simply a quality issue. one of the bits has failed and 2nd one is okay to drill but not so efficiency as other brand. - The 3/8" drill guide is too tight with its bits and its material is not hardened, that caused bit ended up cutting the guide then stuck! Other than that, the build quality is okay, had to smooth off the metal edge a bit, it is very sharp, like a knife. I ordered another pocket hole drill bit from different vendor, then I found out it has quality issue on one of the bits, as shown on the picture. The angle of slope is wrong on #1, #2 is just okay and #3 from another vendor and it is perfect. So, I purchased another main brand kit and it works so well, easy and smoother operation. I hope Vevor looks these issues and improve its quality.

Really impressed with the quality of this jig. Comes with a nice carry case and is very sturdy. Have used it a handful of times and it does what it says on the tin.

I wasn’t expecting too much given the price, but I must say – I’m seriously impressed with this pocket hole jig. The build quality is spot on – solid CNC-machined aluminium alloy that feels like it’ll last forever. It’s not some flimsy bit of plastic – it’s properly sturdy and stays put while you’re working, especially with the stainless steel extension rod. Makes drilling into long boards a doddle – no wobble, no fuss. The adjustable depth settings are a nice touch too, and the markings are clear enough that you’re not constantly squinting or second-guessing. You just slide the guide to the size you need and away you go. Honestly, it’s idiot-proof (which suits me just fine!). What really stands out is the two-step drill bit – it’s titanium-plated and does the job cleanly every time. No splintering, no mess. The stop ring keeps everything at the right angle, and the chip outlet actually works – no clogging, which is a rare thing with these jigs. Also like the fact that the guide block can be detached and used on its own with a clamp – brilliant if you’re doing something a bit awkward or out in the garden shed. Feels really versatile and portable, not stuck to just one setup. You get everything you need in the kit too – drills, stop rings, bits, screws, plugs, even the C-clamp and a toolbox to keep it all in. For the price, it’s a cracking deal. I’ve paid more for kits that came with half the gear and twice the plastic.
