This is a very nice size bowl. There are 2 of us and I don't use a lot of big bowls. I have had this same bowl for a number of years and somehow I chipped one I'm not sure how. So I bought 2 more of this same size. Because with only 2 they were either in use or the dishwasher. I so like that you can buy replacement lids for them. So if the lid cracks you are not without a lid for the bowl. The older bowls I purchased were about 10 - 11 years old. I had 6 of the lids crack all crack in the same way and I think there had been a flaw in production. I have about 30 bowls in different sizes that I purchased to replace most of my Tupperware. I use many daily and have no regrets on any of the purchases. Pyrex does not break down, stain or hold smells like plastic bowls and can be used in the microwave or the oven safely.

Does Great job. The quality is excellent of both glass and the lid. I love it because it makes my storage in the fridge easier.

Excellent, right size , holds enough food to store away in refrigerator

I bought a 3-pack (2 cup, 4 cup, 7 cup) in a store several years ago and just love em. I recently bought 2 more (1 cup, 2 cup, 4 cup) and bought these 7 cup ones to complete those sets. All 4 sizes nest, making for compact storage. The glass is strong and thick… just as you’d expect from Pyrex. And the bowls are so versatile. I use em to prep ingredients for more complicated recipes, in the freezer, in the microwave, in the dishwasher (lids in the top rack), and of course for storing leftovers in the fridge. The glass, though thick, is very transparent, so you can easily see what’s inside. And they stack nicely when full, making for neat and clean storage in the fridge. I also love that I’m going from fridge to microwave in glass instead of plastic. The glass doesn’t absorb odors and holds up to whatever temperature abuse I throw at it. And glass is so much easier to clean! I also bought some of the Pyrex jars with the matching red lids. Those are awesome, too. My kitchen storage is open, so I appreciate that they match. I know it’s superficial, but the cubby with these bowls and matching jars is my fave. I even bought some new kitchen towels with red in em to match.

These are not leak proof but the cover does it good enough job that I can reliably transport non-liquids for my lunch every day. This fit conveniently in the bottom of many cloth lunch boxes. So I might put rice and a tofu curry in this and it makes its way to work without a mess. I put it in the microwave and eat from it. Then the lid conveniently keeps things neat when I take it home, where goes into the dishwasher. Similarly, it works with many pasta dishes and casseroles. When I fry bacon, I will alternate paper towel and recently fried bacon and I can get most of the batch in one container- the rest I'm enjoying for my meal. They stack nicely in the fridge, but you do have to be careful getting the bottom ones out since they are glass and can break if they drop.

Appear to be genuine Pyrex, which amazingly is still made in the USA. Lids fit well, too.

This storage keeps lots of types of food fresh. The size is also large enought to use an electic blender. I was looking for a smaller food storage but it ended up being my favoriate contaner.

The airtight lid ensures that my ice cream stays fresh and doesn't absorb any unwanted smells from the freezer. Plus, the clear glass makes it easy to see when it's time to make another batch! It's also microwave, freezer, and dishwasher safe, making cleanup a breeze. Overall, this container has been an excellent addition to my kitchen for storing homemade ice cream and other treats
