I found this wonderful habitat via YouTube while researching the Silent Runner wheel. I had my original set of 2 gerbils housed in a 30 gallon reused aquarium with a screen top. I purchased this habitat and haven't looked back! I'm now on my 3rd set of gerbils! (I had one that lasted 7yrs.) I purchased my latest pair from a small, local pet store a month ago and had a shock. I went to feed and play with them and I had THREE! Yep, I have a pup...just one. I'm taking them all in to be sexed next week. I realized that I couldn't part with any of them. Sooo, depending on the sexing, I'm going to get a 2nd habitat and get a 4th gerbil. Two per cage. This is the best quality habitat I've come across. Easy to clean, safe, pretty much escape proof for gerbils and cat proof. Yes, I have a cat that loves to interact with the gerbils! He tries so hard to get to the rodents but due to the small width of the bars, he can't. My gerbils are fearless and play with the cat. Silly gerbies!! You're a snack and don't get it. My only issue is getting the wire top to fit back onto the deep plastic pan after cleaning. It takes a little wiggling but not a big deal. I'm a patient person. All in all, this is a large, sturdy habitat with a lot of room to add toys and wheels. I have 2 large Silent runners as my adults were trying to use one at the same time. I had a great time reading the reviews. I had no idea how many people love their little pocket pets! I now feel like part of a community. I have 4 dogs and the cat but these little gerbils have been so much fun! Thank you for making a wonderful, safe, large habitat for them.

I just got this cage today, and I’m liking it so far and so is my hamster, Moo! Warning: it’s heavy and really big, learned that the hard way when I picked it up from the UPS store at my university and had to carry it to my dorm. The product was very well packaged! Assembly: So this cage requires no tools to assemble it and I’m so thankful for that cause I don’t have any tools with me in my dorm. Comes with instructions as well, you have to follow the instructions or else it won’t really work, especially with the ramp!!!! The assembly process for me took like 30 minutes to an hour because at times it’s a tight fit, so you have to put a bit more work when securing the cage with the black clips. It’s relatively easy but a bit time consuming! Cage: The cage is a lot bigger than I thought it would be, but luckily it fits in my small dorm as to where I’m comfortable to move around or make any weird arrangements. Also, my hamster had the Kaytee Easy Clean Small Pet Habitat, and that is 16 x 11.5 x 10.5 inches. Not ideal for any hamster I’m pretty sure. But with this one, I can literally fit three of my hamster’s old cage within this one. So a huge upgrade. And the wires are metal, the plastic part of the cage is maybe 4-5 inches deep. Security & Safety: This cage is pretty secure, I don’t think my hamster will escape from it unless I leave one of the doors open, she’s about 4 inches long and like one inch wide so a bit small. For the first part of the assembly you have to latch on the curved clips so the metal part of the cage can be secured together, it’s hard to do that and one corner for me is a bit wider than the others. Also, the top part of the cage won’t come off due to the black clips you put in after doing the first and second step. For me the shortest sides of the cage were the hardest to latch on but it makes the cage extra secure when carrying it. The doors I feel is what I’ll have a problem with because it only takes a small amount of pressure to open it but I’m pretty sure I can fix that problem. Hamster’s Opinion: Moo absolutely loves the cage, she has so much space now! I’ve seen her go up and down the ramp so many times. She enjoys climbing the cage so I think that’s good, I think a lot of toys will be needed to really fill up the space in the cage. She’s already in love with it and I’m glad she hasn’t bitten on the metal but only downfall is that she does fall due to climbing or the level part but she seems okay and has learned her lesson. Overall: This cage is a pretty pricey (I’m a broke college student but I love my hamster) but I would say it’s worth it! It’s huge and can fit a lot of toys and hideouts, gives the hamster enough space to run and not feel too cramped! 9/10!!!!

We have searched all over for a decent size cage regarding our Syrian hamster and everyone has been too tiny no space for play, not even petsmart had decent cages. This cage is wonderful, very sturdy, 2 huge openings to access your pet, and lots of room to play, sleep and eat. Not to mention very easy to clean the cage. The bottom is black which makes it nice for her to burrow in the bedding and not be seen. We also can easily fit her 20" wheel in this cage so she can actively play at night. Along with toys and ramps. Only thing and it might be human error aka my problem the ramp is not her favorite however I can lower the ledge down and that might fix the issue. Either way she has way more running space and area to burrow away!

I would not recommend this if you are going to use it to house anything smaller than a rat, as they will be able to easily fit through the bars on the corners. Anything the size of a small rabbit, chinchilla, or ferret, I would recommend as a travel and/or overnight cage only. It is to small for the larger small animals for any kind of extended stay, but would be great for traveling purposes The size isn't massively big, and is great if you are limited on space. I would recommend only housing upto two rats, as they can very easily fit comfortably without fighting for space The ledge is removable, and if you do not wish to have it, you do not need to use. If you wish to remove it later on, it's very easily removed It is very easy to put together, light weight, easy to clean, has two access doors, though the side access door's bar to hold it closed is loose, and will pop off when u go to open the door, but that's easy to fix with a pair of pilers This is not something I would keep for an outdoor cage or in any kind of direct sunlight, as the base is made of plastic and like with any kind of plastic, prolonged exposure to the sun will make it very brittle and easily cracked. The bar strength and plastic base is great if you do not have a massive chewer All in all, I highly recommend getting this cage for a variety of things like travel, overnight, even quarantine for new, sick, injured, or older arthritic pets that can not move around very much. I will definitely be getting another one of these to use for traveling purposes

Got 2 of these cages, have a baby female Syrian in one it’s perfect & she loves it. So I another for my robo colony as I wasn’t happy with having a million plastic cages with tubes hooked up together, really really hard to clean & easy to escape out of. Not to mention the pet community hates them, pet store cages are generally found to be WAY too small... Anyway I didn’t realize the bars on 2 of the corners of the cage were too far apart so one of my robos ended up accidentally escaping on their 3rd night in the cage. I only found him cuz my cat started acting strange around the bottom of a cabinet when I went to feed my guinea pigs, I went to investigate & low & behold one of my precious little puff ball sized robos had gotten out of the cage & fallen off the table onto the floor. He was currently running at the wall full speed attempting to dig nothing, crazy lil robos lol. Anyway I got him back in the cage & luckily the rest were fine. I’ve now added zip ties to the corners so they can’t escape but if you look at the pics I’ll probably have to ad a few more, luckily it’s just in the corners. Spacing may appear bigger in pictures & like I said only one of the cages is like this, had it been my Syrian in this one & vice versa she couldn’t fit through that space & the robos wouldn’t have been able to escape through the original Perview 528 I purchased as the bars on that one don’t have such a wide gap. I’m still slightly nervous but as far as Syrians go it’s a wonderful cage & escape proof My roborovski dwarfs love it too other than the escape mishap, there’s room for multiple hides, multiple wheels, multiple tubes, a potty, sand bath, dig box in each cage & a really great deep pan for lots of bedding Just be sure to have enough bedding on hand cuz it can hold a bunch & hamsters should have at least 6 inches of bedding to burrow in. In fact some hamsters won’t burrow at all until their given over 6 inches! Plus the large cage size & amount of bedding you can fit really cuts down on cage cleanings & on bedding in the long run! Large cages need cleaning much less frequently so don’t be shy fill her up! Overall I’m satisfied with my purchase & very happy that my hamsters don’t have to suffer in tiny cages! My Syrians Perview 528 cage is a natural theme with coconut fibre, aspen, reptile moss, alfalfa hay, bendy bridges & dried flowers to compete the aesthetic! Dried flowers have the added bonus of smelling great too!! Just make sure you get the kind safe for hamsters ;) The heigh of the cage provides room for a very large wheel too & the platform can be adjusted to different heights. There’s also plenty of room for adding xtra platforms & hides too! I purchased a few on Amazon to create another level that goes around the top of my Syrians cage I was able to fit 2 wheels & multiple hides in my robos Perview 528 cage & because the pan is so deep they’ve created an entire network of tunnels all throughout bedding!! It’s adorable!!! It has multiple entries all over the cage & they’re all connected I hadn’t had them long but since transferring them to this larger cage I see them running about all the time zipping here & there through their tubes, up the ramp around the platform back down & around again lol. Enough room for plenty of enrichment! Just be sure to check the corners carefully & use zip ties if your nervous! Overall recommend!

Estuve buscando un habitad para mis dos gerbiles por varios días hasta que encontré esta. Tenía dudas porque los gerbiles necesitan un fondo muy profundo para poder enterrase, la jaula cumple con eso además de tener suficiente altura para que salten y jueguen entre ellos. El precio es alto pero vale totalmente la pena. El material se ve de buena calidad y resistente. La recomiendo totalmente.

It can be quite exhausting and time consuming to find the right enclosure for your hamster but this one just came to the rescue at the right time. Great size, fantastic access and it fits any 12” spinning wheel for a Syrian hamster. It arrived quicker than expected, too. Easy to assemble and enough room for lots of bedding and enrichments to make your pet happy. The platform is very useful but you can always get rid of it and assemble few natural ones, maybe even on different levels which I’m planning to do in the future. Really happy with the product! Plus it looks beautiful with natural hideouts and accessories. It’s also on a list of best enclosures 2020 and 2021! Well done Prevue!

This is a fabulous cage! Fairly easy to assemble and very sturdy. Bars are close enough to keep our curious hamster safely inside. This cage has so much room! We have a large wheel and disc style wheel. All of the toys we have fit nicely, with lots or room for exploring. We have a pretty big Syrian hamster, and this is exactly what we were looking for. Seems a bit overpriced compared to others we looked at (similar design), but worth the money for the quality! Recommend for a large hamster!
