Yeah Aluminum
I have a 2015 Chevy Cruz. At 70k, the water pump gave out. I replaced the factory thermostat with that repair with an aftermarket thermostat in a PVC housing. It cost me $80 at Autozone (OEM was $170). 25k miles later, and I had trouble again with the cooling system. When I took everything apart, I discovered that it was the thermostat that failed. The PVC housing became brittle, and cracked. Not wanting to make the same mistake twice, I found this thermostat with an aluminum housing for much less. It appears well made, and fit perfectly. I’ve put a few hundred miles on it, and it is functioning well and no signs of even the slightest leak. I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase!

My experience is better than other reviews have shown.
I was skeptical at first from the other reviews. I have had a positive experience so far (~300 miles). The temps are great and no sign of sticking open/closed. No leaking at the mating surface or the radiator hose. For the price, the quality is surprisingly good. A nice looking (aluminum) addition to the engine bay removing the plastic thermostat housing. I will update if anything changes in the coming months. Will look to replace the other fail prone cooling components (Water Outlet etc.) as they show signs of failure.

Perfect fit
The aluminum looks so much nicer and fit perfectly into my 2016 Chevy Cruze limited LT. these cars are all plastic and the upgrade to aluminum gives me some confidence

0 Star Review - AVOID THIS PRODUCT! DO NOT BUY!
DO NOT BUY! Construction is all metal as stated. It looks like it could have been a quality part. The machined surface that the hose clips to is about 0.2mm too small in diameter. It WILL leak. This product will not fit, will not work, will not hold pressure, will not assist in lower temperatures. Due to the ineptitude of the designer / machinist that made this part, the only thing that this part can and will do for your car is cause the cooling system to fail. This WILL cost you a lot of money if your engine overheats. Do not buy this product, avoid it like the plague. Complete and utter waste of time, money and resources.

Seems to be a study part.
Seems to be an ok part, the sensor plug was really tight getting the plug onto other than that so far so good ( hope I didn't jinx it) The factory part is plastic ( ok composite or plasitiglass) hoping the Alu last 100K ? Not a terrible job to do, 1/2 hr maybe ? I don't rush any more so I don't stress over time. Get yourself some torx sockets or be a hack and shove a 12 point on :(

Superior aluminum construction.
Far superior to the OEM housing. Well made of aluminum with a quality seal. Have also replaced the water outlet housing with the MITZONE product.

Fit well, no install issues due to the part
Went right in once I got the gasket back in the groove. worked properly and turned off the P0599 thermostat heater code on a 2014 cruze 1.4l. Be careful with the gasket and be sure it stays in the groove or you will be taking it all the way back off to get it back in there

lifesaver
the OEM plastic thermostat has flimsy plastic fingers inside that broke off, jammed the thermostat shut, and blew my head gasket. this solid aluminum part solved yet another of GM's major design flaws and now I have a great replacement part. mitzone guys should be supplying OEM factory parts to chevrolet.

After changing out to this thermostat, car (1.4l Turbo) threw up Code 89 persistently. Temperature gauge took longer than usual to reach its usual operating position. Turns out the sensor inside was faulty (according to my mechanic). If you want to upgrade your plastic housing, keep the original sensor and swap it into this aluminium housing.

Part arrived as described with gasket. Mated well with new aluminum water pump. Senor connection better then OEM. Easy installation overall; hose clamps help getting the hose off and on. Just installed 2 days ago at time of writing.

A simple vista se ve de buen material. Pero presentaba fuga entre la cubierta metálica y el sensor a una semana de que se coloco. Compren mejor el original.
