As someone who tends to paint primarily in oil, these are a good alternative for being acrylics. Of course, I can't say that they are an exact substitution for oil, but they do have a similar weight and feel, all while providing the pros of being an acrylic-based paint. The paint has that nice smooth consistency you get when you paint in oil, but unlike oil this dries pretty quickly, with the paint only taking a long time to dry if it is really caked on. I would be rather careful however if you are painting on darker backgrounds, for some reason when mixing the paints, they tend to lose a bit of pigment in my experience, making them a bit more translucent, but I was also mixing with the white paint, so that may have also impacted this greatly. On the other hand, the colors given from mixing are vivid and beautiful. While I would not recommend these paints to everyone, if you are someone who is into oil paints, or an acrylic painter who wants to explore thicker mediums while retaining the pros of acrylic paint, I highly recommend.

Best paint ever!

This is my first time trying out these pants, and I have to say that I love them. The texture is creamy, and the colors are very pigmented, so you get what you pay for. I did have a problem with the red, though; it came out all weird and almost stringy, so I bought another set and did not have that problem.

King of the acrylics. Golden Heavy Body paints are creamy, substantial and worth the price. A++

a step up from the typical acrylics i get! these are great quality and the color selection here really gives you a lot of options when it comes to mixing other shades. beginner friendly!

I bought this for my aunt for a secret Santa gift because I keep hearing that these are great paints. She agrees as she already uses them.

Reasonable heavy body ,heavy pigmented acrylics..however expected more thicker paint.could have given burnt umber instead of black in the set

J' ai commandé ces acryliques car étant en clinique je voulais un petit set d' acryliques pour peindre dans ma chambre. Les trois couleurs primaires, le noir et le blanc normalement doivent suffire à créer toutes les couleurs mais ce n' est pas le cas puisque le bleu est un outremer très foncé qui mélangé au blanc est très terne. Le rouge est un vermillon pas du tout pratique non plus pour les mélanges. Il en résulte des tons battus pas du tout lumineux . La consistance ne correspond pas du tout à ce à quoi je m attendais et la quantité est proprement ridicule pour un prix réellement exorbitant. Je voulais des acrylique heavy corps qui normalement ont la consistance de l huile et là c est aussi fluide que dans les gros tubes en plastique, la couvrante est vraiment mediocre.J ai vraiment le sentiment d' avoir jeté mon argent par la fenêtre et je suis furieuse. Vraiment, si je prends le temps de rédiger un commentaire aussi négatif c'est par solidarité artistique....pour pouvoir me servir de ces tubes, il faudrait que j achète un bleu primaire et un magenta mais je suis tellement dégoûtée d avoir payé 45 e pour ces misérables 6 petits tubes que je vais en rester là....
