Finally a Buzz-In Door That Doesn’t Suck
Swapped this into the shop’s old steel frame last month because the last cheap strike kept jamming when the door warped in the rain. Took me 20 minutes with a Dremel and the paper template they include. Dropped straight into the factory cutout, flipped the tiny screw to fail-secure, wired it to the intercom and the 12 V wall-wart that came with the kit. Now the latch clicks free every single time I hit the button. No more yelling “IT’S OPEN!” through the glass. Real talk: Kids slam the door, delivery guys shoulder it, still holds like it’s bolted shut. Runs dead quiet, no buzz, no heat. Weather stripping was pressing hard and the old one wouldn’t release; this one laughs at the pressure. If your frame is hollow metal and you’re sick of janky eBay strikes that die in three months, just get it. Still perfect after 400+ opens.

Works with door controller
The electric strike is working fine with a door controller that includes a wet relay power supply. However, this listing doesn't allow me to ask a question so I will pose it here: When the electric strike is idle, it gets warm. Is this normal?

Perfect for Door Conversion Projects!

It does the job
After I installed the diode (included with the latch) with two solder-seal connector, this latch worked great. Exactly as I had hoped.
