Works well, good value alternative to original unit, only slight downside is the cover is a bit fiddly to remove, but that is only an occasional issue for me.

Excellent alternative for a Honeywell replacement programmer. Did not require a ‘back plate’ as the old Honeywell ST9400C item fitted perfectly. This enabled a ‘speedy’ replacement process.

Arrived when expected. Does the job and fitted easily into wall plate of old timer. Only caveat is the manual does not make it clear that both "central heating" and "hot water" have to be set to off to enter installers mode which is necessary to change the screen back light setting.

This is essentially a Honeywell ST9400C programmer with a small but annoying difference. If you are looking for a two channel programmer then it will work. Positives: A comprehensive manual is included and it is generally intuitive to programme. There is excellent flexibility including up to 3 on/off periods per day for each of central heating (CH) and hot water (HW) plus user selection of every day the same or a split between 2 days the same but different from the next 5 days or each day of the week different. It will fit a Honeywell ST9400C backplate or an industry standard programmer backplate. Negative: The programming of a Honeywell ST94000C is undertaken by lifting a hinged flap covering the relevant details buttons that are then covered during day to day use. This programmer has the same programming controls but under a pull off cover. The cover requires a significant tug to remove. Tugging on electrical fittings is not recommended unless the back plate is very securely fitted. IMHO a hinged flap is an easier to access when necessary. If they just rebadged the Honeywell design then it would be 5 stars subject to any long term reliability issues. The electronic switching in programmers fails sometimes. This programmer was purchased as a replacement for a Honeywell ST9400C that failed after 30 years. It is too early to tell if any internal changes to the programmer will have made it more or less reliable than the programmer that it has replaced.

After my Honeywell st9400c heating controller started to flash like a 90s rave I did a little research. After a few minutes found this made by Resideo it's almost identical and fits directly onto the same wired back plate so no wiring involved. It's a 10 minute job to swap over just check the programme on your existing controller in the installer programming mode and change it if necessary. It's been working for a while now and my heating is working properly so the jobs a good un.

Electrically a perfect timer. Just a bit of a pain that securing screws are back so far which makes it extremely hard to tighten screws if one doesn’t have a lot of clearance below the timer
