Decorative for those who love Chat Noir
I've dotted my flat with various Chat Noir items since my first visit to Paris in 1996, and added this expensive potholder for decoration. It is not effective as an actual potholder - it is too thin, and I still felt far too much heat and had to use others. There are more durable, useful potholders for a much lower price. I'm glad to have it for a bit more Chat Noir flair, but it is for only lovers of the style.
