Horseradish Roots for Planting - Grow Big Top Horseradish - Horseradish Crowns Garden Plant, Large Roots (8 Roots)

I received my roots in the spring and didn’t think they looked all that great and was concerned they would not grow. I sent the seller a message with my concerns which was actually the first time I ever did that. They told me to plant them and if they didn’t grow I should contact them. Well lo and behold we have happy healthy horseradish. Be sure to plant either in a tire or some type of container with no bottom in the ground that way it will stay contained and not dry out. Great addition to my garden👍👍👍

Did not have green tops as shown and the have not sprouted any roots or green tops yet But they have grown into healthy plants and are curving a brutal heat and rain

They arrived small and dry, threw them in pots. After 20 days, they all sprouted.

Major key is making sure you plant right away and that you plant the root in the correct direction. Water alot and watch the root to see if its growing or if you need to flip it in the pot accordingly.

ORDER WAS FOR 4 ROOTS, BAG AND CONTENTS CONTAINED 3 ROOTS. I WOULD GIVE LOWER BUT I WAS ABLE TO DIVIDE THE LARGEST OF 3 ROOTS.

The items sent are NOT like the picture : they are chunks of the roots chopped up into pieces . The pictures tend to give one the belief that they can plant a small root that will grow into a full sized horseradish plant within a year but the “ chopped up roots “ will require 2 years to bare an adult plant .

I got instructions for planting strawberries and asparagus... But none for horseradish or how to contact company. Little roots were growing out from larger root when it was planted. Soil type - ph balance or hours of sunlight needed??? I expected it to be hardy. No growth is showing. The onions planted next to it seem to be growing. LATER - The plants are coming along and growing. The roots were large when they arrived.

The plant I received is not what a picture shows. It is misrepresentation, and there is no description what exactly I will get, except asking for support of small businesses. I understand that plants will not be large or have green foliage as on the picture, but I didn't expect that these plants will be just two cut pieces like from a department store. By the way, they sell much cheaper and also can be good for planting.
