Nice crisp and load. I have an orion cobalt amp pushing these and the 6.5 xtr but the combination of the two are too much for the amp to handle and it overheats

Pros: Perfect fitment Comes with Adapter plate Comes with some speaker wire ( Though I only use 14 OFC Wire ) Nice Packaging looks deluxe if you're giving as a gift Runs fine off a head unit (Though I powered with an amp and gave them plenty of RMS) The sound quality is very accurate and good at this price point. The included Crossovers are really nice quality For $60 you wont find anything better Cons: [Disclaimer:Not really a con] The Mid speaker offers very little bass (It is not designed to pump out bass, though some people might not understand this and may be disappointing. These speakers are for highs and mids. The Mid speaker is not a Mid Sub but actually a MIDS speaker. I paired these with a set of Orion door speakers and a 10" Sundown sub woofer in a ported box . Tuned it all , and I was able to get amazing sound quality and insane bass with my 5 channel amp for under $800 . Getting Orion speakers helped me save to get a nicer amp and an insane sub from sundown. Orion is an awesome brand. The cobalt stuff is supper entry level but the XTR, XTR PRO and HCCA stuf is all high quality . Better than kenwood,JVC, sony or any of the junk you cna buy at bestbuy. I have had JL audio speakers and these come CLOSE to C3 level sound quality and may even beat JL in durability.

Absolutely amazing sound even without a amplifier just running a Kenwood deck. They have very good sound. Good bass clean treble. I have the crossover at 70 htz my xtr 12's at 80 htz sounds great

I've been a fan of orion for many years... I use to have a pair or 12" xtr pros and those things slammed for being 500 wrms. these 3ways are no exception. I'm coming from a pair of alpine type S 2 ways and these xtrs are a good upgrade. was wondering how much of an improvement they would be and they are hands down better in midbass and in highs. they highs is where they shine the most. They do not distort at high volumes and I'm only powering them on the aftermarket HU. My rear view mirror has some little flex to it now haha. I really wanted to match the 6.5s with these xtrs but in a 2 way coaxial but for the life of me I can't find any 2 way xtr coaxial. I have alpine type S 6.5s rn and they sound ok, no complaints but want matching sets of xtrs. I finally ended my search of the 6.5s and just pulled the trigger on some ct sounds meso 6.5s and man they look mean asf... can't wait to install them and then install my orion xtr 500.4 amp... birth sheet will match up nice with both the 6x9 xtr 3ways and my meso 6.5 2 ways. Then in the near future either the 1" xtr tweeters or the meso 1" tweeters. No matter which way I go with tweeters, I will definitely be happy I can already tell. Recommend these 6x9s to those who want to add a little more midbass and more highs that are warm/crisp and not bright by any means. If there was anything I would sorta bicker about it would be I wish they had a shallower mounting depth because they are bigger on size all the way around except on cutout dimensions

Build quality is top notch, they look and feel amazing. Thick wire gauge and there’s rubber covers for the connections so I’d say the wire connections themselves are pretty waterproof. Super clear and clean without distortion. Install and setup is straight forward.

Comes with speaker covers and some rudimentary install parts. Nice sound quality.
