It's as good as the top-notch Supracor Stimulite mitt for exfoliating.
I already own several different types of exfoliating items but continue to keep an eye open for new and, hopefully, better and less expensive products. I also like to compare similar products. I ordered a 2-pk. of Sed Mountain - Exfoliating Glove - Body Scrub because it's more economical to buy the 2-pack and the Product Page, as well as the back of the cardboard packing envelope says to, "Use every 2 weeks." Come to think of it, does that mean to exfoliate with it every 2 weeks or replace it? As I write this review, I went back to the Product's Listing and found its excellent and informative video demonstration how to use it. (I admit I don't remember if I ever watched it before ordering because a fair amount of time has passed.) I just slipped it over my hand and had some difficulty keeping it from coming off and wished it had a thumb shape, at least, so that I could grip it better. I mistakenly assumed the strap was to loop and hang it up to dry after rinsing it clean. I actually should have wrapped it around my wrist and tucked it in so that it would stay put as I rubbed my skin. Lesson learned to always watch the product's video, if there is one, before using the product. I will say this Turkish Hammam Kese Mitt surprisingly exfoliates very well. After rinsing the soap off, my skin definitely felt very smooth. I'd even say it's as good as the top-notch, expensive Supracor Stimulite mitt for exfoliating. The African Net I also own is great, too, but is most easily and best used for washing your back every once in a while. The lilac Supracor Stimulite Back Scrubber is even easier to use than the African net, but it is very pricey. In summary, I will be sure to wrap the Sed Mountain's strap around my wrist when I use it again in about 2 weeks. I think this Turkish product deserves 5 stars for its demo video, exfoliation benefits, and an economical price that’s currently $9.99 for a 2-pk.

Thumbs up from Mediterranean partner who's been to hammams
My partner is from the Mediterranean, and tells me about the Hammams people go to (for special occasions) and how thoroughly they clean you there, how they get all the dead skin and everything. When he came here he missed the good scrub and started looking for good bath scrubbing mits, but we didn't find a great selection here in the US, only some cheap plasticy things. While I will never be going to a bathhouse myself, I thought we might enjoy having those good quality scrubbing mits for our shower, so I found a recommendation from a website (fearless female travels Exactly What Happens in a Turkish Bath in Turkey) for authentic ones I could get here. I surprised him with them, he touched them once and said they're good (they feel a little like sandpaper lol) and he happily went to go shower. I only wish they came in packages with 2 different colors together so it was easier to keep his and mine separate, we marked them on the white cloth part with a sharpie to tell whose is whose. I only use mine once a week during a long shower, it really feels like it gets all the dead skin off so I'm sure that's not healthy to do every single day lol. These come in such a cute, simple package with the exotic looking writing that I'm going to get a couple for friends for Christmas too :)

I will use this for the rest of my life. It's that good.
I've used this for a year and every single time, I am amazed how much dead skin comes off. I find it best to do this towards the end of my shower, when my skin is softened by the hot water and I've rinsed all the soap off. I will go to town with this glove and the skin just rolls off. It is a little gross, but oh so satisfying. And I am left with baby soft skin. As someone who has KP on my upper arms, this has been the best exfoliation I've ever used in my 30 plus years of dealing with KP. If you shave your legs, this is a game changer before you shave. I never have razor bumps. I only wish this glove was actually a glove with fingers because I do find it unpleasant when my nails hit the end of the glove as I'm moving it across bigger sections of my body. But for as well as it works, it's a little minor detail I'm willing to deal with for the results I get.

Excellent for the face
I used my face steamer for 15 minutes and soaked the mitt in hot water for a few minutes before using on my face. My face felt incredibly smooth and rejuvenated afterward. I hadn’t even gone to apply my moisturizer yet and my skin was already feeling hydrated. Even so afterward my moisturizing products absorbed great! This exfoliator is fabulous

Nice, but the strap comes right off
This thing is so awesome and makes my skin so soft with no pain. It does smell a bit weird after some time, but just rinse it in real hot water and it's good. Oh, and make sure to replace it every six months and you're golden. The strap comes off pretty easily, but that's an easy fix with a needle and thread, and I'm okay with that. Otherwise, it's so nice!

Makes your skin smooth, but there are caveats
If you want the smoothest skin of your life, I suggest buying one of these. It was just so satisfying to watch the skin slough off and I felt afterward. It was such a relaxing process and I can only imagine how much nicer it is when someone is doing the scrubbing for you in one of those fancy spas. That said, I'm still giving this exfoliating mitt 3 stars. 1.) Irritation: I started using this once a week and then twice a week. It was fine the first few times, but I started to notice my skin was getting irritated. I tend to be less bothered by physical exfoliation on my face vs chemical exfoliation. The same is true for my body, but it still caught up. I promise I was being gentle, too! 2.) Cleanliness: Remember the Tarzan movie where the cute elephant goes "are you sure this water is sannnnnitary? It looks questionable to me!" Well, that's how I felt with this glove. I cleaned it minimalist way described, yet I could still see my skin cells in the weave of the mitt. I have very dark skin so it's always easy for me to see these things, whereas I don't think if you're lighter you'll notice that. IDK, but it just gave me the heebies and I worried it would get unsanitary after awhile. Was sad to toss this since it was a nice purchase and relaxing way to spend a Sunday in the shower, but it had a few more cons than pros.

It works!!!
Wow, these exfoliating mitts actually work so well! I didn't grow up in a family who taught me about skincare, so this was my first time using something like this at the age of 30. I couldn't believe the dead skin that was coming up, it was so satisfying, haha! I took the string and wrapped it around my wrist to secure the mitt, and that kept it in place nicely. The mitt on the left was put in the washer and dryer and as you can see, there was minimal shrinkage. I only just used it yesterday, but I can already tell these are going to be a staple in my skincare.

Difficult to use; synthetic mitt
The soap was impossible to use. No matter how much or little I tried, it ended up slipping off my hand or some other location to the shower floor. I didn't realize the mitts were synthetic; maybe I didn't read it or the description didn't say it, I'm not sure which. In any case, they were useless -- unless every inch of my skin was perfectly exfoliated before I used one. Sent it all back and ordered natural, genuine hammam "gloves," which should be here tomorrow.
