Im in my 70's and used to do quite a lot of wrought iron work such as gates and fire escapes. That was many years ago and it must have been just over 40 years since I picked up a welding rods. I bought this as its a good price for my requirements now. I wanted to manufacture some good strong ramps for my own vehicles, one of which is rather heavy. After hours of welding with this my arm and wrist was not aching one bit after holding it. Another good thing it has its own little cooling fan built in. This is a great piece of kit 👌.

What I wanted

very nice having one less cable to deal with, but the design makes it slightly harder to hold steady. I could not get a 3.2mm rod into the 'chuck' so 2.5mm is the largest size I can use, which is a bit disappointing as there's plenty of power. Goggles are very uncomfortable - only good for quick tacks, I had to buy a proper full face as well. Make sure you really want this design because you can get a 'normal' 160A 4mm welder significantly cheaper. UPDATE I ran a 3.5mm drill bit into the chuck and 3.2mm rods will now fit, I can now use power setting #4 and do thick steel - good stuff

works very well for a small welder .it could have had a longer lead on it .

Only used this once to repair a fridge tray and it worked very well. Very please with it.

Great bit of kit. Really like its versatility and ease of use. Comes well stored and with a bit of practice welds pretty well. The leads could be longer but overall worth it 👍

i bought it as a bit of a gaffe but after i used it once it turns out that i love it.... can't beat the price or ease of use.

Just arrived and opened the box. No pliers no utility knife. And on top of that. The gun came cracked on the top. But u guess that's what you get with cheap Chinese plastic 🤔 but it does work..... probably can you the gun to weld the cracked part of the gun. Even though I'm missing parts and gun is cracked like I said still a good product
