Great fun for kids with help of parents
Hours of fun with designing, drawing, coloring, shrinking and accessorizing. My kid has so much fun. I help with the oven part obviously.

Very sturdy very bright
I love this product to make keychains for my loved ones. They are very sturdy. The color is very vibrant. I would definitely purchase it again and will.

Just like we remember!
I got these for an activity at work and they were a hit!! Good value outside of the scissors. Markers were decent but other ones are more vibrant after shrinking!

BE SURE TO CONVERT INSTRUCTION TEMP TO FARENHEIT
Decent quality for price and fun to use however the first time I used it I set the oven to the temp indicated on the instructions (which didn't say whether it was Celsius or farenheit) and it didn't work out well. But then I double the temp and it worked perfectly.

Perfect for making gifts for parents
These worked perfectly. I ordered these to use in my class for mothers day keychains. I drew out notebook paper on them, and had the kids write letters to their moms. They turned out so cute and little. I can't wait to do these again.

A little misleading
I got these for a fun activity with my 5 year old daughter. I was impressed by how much accessories were including in the kit. It came with everything that is needed to make jewelry, keychains, ornaments, ect.. The colored pencils were smooth and vibrant in color, it came with scissors but I ended up using my own to accommodate being left handed, and the single hole puncher was much appreciated. However, the pictures clearly showed that a microwave was an option for the shrinking process but the directions that came with the kit said an oven would have to be used. Knowing my daughter would want to participate with that part and considering she's only 5 years ago, I only got this because I thought I could use a microwave. That was a disappointment for the both of us. After following the directions, my daughter was in awe with the results, I wasn't exactly happy. None of our pictures ended up flattening out and I couldn't figure out what we did wrong. With that said, it was a fun activity for my young child but I wouldn't recommend this for an older child.

Oven Loving – Nice Variety of Accessories
My wife has quite a bit of experience working with shrink plastic, so I bought this kit for her. She loved it! Here are her thoughts. At first, I was surprised by the size of the plastic sheets and to be honest, I was a bit disappointed. These sheets are 5.75 X 8.25 inches. I’m used to buying 8 X 10 sheets. The size ended up not being a problem when I realized the 20 blank sheets was more than equivalent to my usual 10 pack of shrink plastic!I love that one side of the plastic is already pre-sanded (the frosted side). YAY! I usually sand my own sheets, which can be a pain! I don’t always sand as uniformly as I should which affects the outcome and the dust from sanding can be a bit of a mess. So, pre-sanded to me is a big deal! The first thing I did was make a color swatch using the colored pencils. The pencils glided smoothly on the plastic and covered the surface well. It has the basic colors, including 2 greens and 2 blues and they’re vibrant. I was surprised and happy to get maroon—my school’s colors! I then made an 8 inch ruler to see how much the shrink plastic was going to really shrink and I will use this ruler to judge the sizes I will make for future projects. I used my heat gun and the ruler quickly shrunk from 8 to 3.25 inches. Impressive! The finish is very shiny/glossy on one side—and the other side has a matt opaque appearance.I colored and cut out 2 of the cute preprinted designs with my own scissors. Although scissors are included in the kit, cutting shrink plastic can be very tricky—you don’t want to tear the shrink plastic, so I didn’t trust scissors that look like a kindergartner’s to cut the curves properly. I shrunk a fish design with my heat gun with marginal success. The fish was a bit distorted, but I may have been the cause---putting the heat source too close to the plastic. I decided to use the toaster oven @ 320 degrees to shrink the frog. I placed the design on a piece of foil and it began shrinking within a few seconds. The frog turned out flat and perfectly proportioned!I put the shrink plastic through several experiments. I drew on the plastic with my alcohol ink markers and I also used my soft pastels and had great success with both! I usually put resin over my shrink plastic, but I’m really happy with the way the glossy side looks on its own with this product. I didn’t use the tweezers, but they seem to work quite well for picking up tiny things.I’m really eager for my grandkids next visit. It’s nice having all of the preprinted designs if they don’t want to draw their own picture. We’ve made many shrink plastic projects before, but I’ve never had any of the keychain rings, chains, jump rings and lobster clasps. I’m really impressed with the variety of clasps included and the quality is terrific!!Another bonus for me is that the shrink plastic cuts so well with my Cricut! I cut out a pair of teardrop earrings. I placed strips of Washi tape equally spaced on each earring to mask stripes and then colored the openings with soft pastels. I removed the Washie tape and used the enclosed hole punch, which worked perfectly, and then shrunk the earrings in the toaster oven. I attached earring hooks I had on hand and voila—I have new earrings!I’ve had my shrink plastic supplies put away for over 6 months, but now I’m eager to make a few more earrings and other projects using this kit. I’d recommend this kit to anyone who is a newbie or experienced shrink plastic enthusiast!
