I read in the news that those steel bristled scrapers shed bristles and can get into your food which is extremely dangerous. And ever since I read that, I noticed that my bristled scraper really did shed. So I threw them out and bought another non-Cusinart scraper. It was okay, but it was flimsy and the plastic handle would slowly bend (especially if scraping a hot grill), so I threw it out too and got this sucker! This Cusinart scraper is solid. I know it says Griddle scraper, but I use on my grill and it does a good job. Often I heat it up to 700 degrees and scrape it then and there are no issues at all. I like the width since it can scrape multiple grates at once. FWIW I have a Weber grill with the enameled cast iron grates which are flat on top, not round grates made of steel bar. So that's probably why this works so well for me. Yeah, it's not as good as the steel bristle brush for getting the sides, but at least I know it is safe.

We bought a flat grill and it came with a scraper. It didn't take long to o realize that my fingers are too close to the heat. This scraper is big and allows me to do the job without thear of burning my fingers. Ergonomic and easy to clean. If you are going to use your flat grill even once, you will love it

Strong, well made

After going to dinner at a Japanese steak house, I wanted to purchase a scraper like the chef used to clean the grill. So many times there is still residue left on a grill, then it burns, and is hard to clean off the grill. This scraper works great!

Picked this up to clear off the top of my Blackstone 4 burner Griddle we had just picked up. It was recommended by a friend, and honestly... well worth it. I would love to write up a big review of all the amazing things a product does, but ultimately this is designed to scrape your post-griddle experience into the trap and have your surface ready for its next cook/seasoning. It does that, its comfortable to hold, and its easy to maneuver. The only reason it got a 4 stars on the maneuverability is because its a bigger tool compared to a single pane scraper that comes with most griddle kits, but its worth it as you get great leverage with the handle, and a solid push without feeling like you're about to scrape all your hard seasoning work off. After use its crazy easy to clean, and hang up for your next cook. I highly recommend this product as its a great band for your griddle buck!
