An old PSU was failing and making a horrible high pitch squeal. This was an affordable replacement.

It reduced my power bill a tiny bit, and it powers my components well for overclocking my GPU and CPU which are demanding for mid to high range overclocking. It doesn't weigh much, it's amazing price for the value, it has a high wattage of 850 which is more than enough for a 14th gen intel CPU, or a 4070, 4080 super, and 4090 (maybe on the 4090 unsure but def the 4080 super and 4070 will work great with this), and it supports 7 SSDs, and 1 HDD I have installed (3 nvme 3.5 terabyte total, 3 internal ssds with sata connection 750gb total, and 1 HDD 2 terabyte total) as well as 9 fans, a 360mm aio cooler, and a z790m micro atx motherboard, and a rtx 4070(upgrading to 4080 super soon) thats how powerful this is it can power all these components with no issues or instability and it's newer and supports PCIE 5 for future proofing. Overall id recommend you get it. It's affordable, and high quality at the same time. It's design and appearance are cool, but my case hides it so that didn't matter to me much. I don't have pictures since it would be annoying right now to take it apart in my case. Sorry.

This is one of the best power supplies I’ve used. Fully modular design makes cable management a breeze, and it powers my high-performance build with no issues. Runs silently, even under heavy load. Corsair’s quality is unmatched, and this unit proves it. Highly recommended for serious builds.

I bought this to upgrade a Corsair 650 RM I purchased in 2020. With that build, I also bought the Corsair individually sleeved braided cable set. To upgrade, I left all the cables in place and just swapped the PSU, connecting the existing cables to the new RM850e. Of note, the 2023 RM850e is also smaller than the RM650 I upgraded, so it fits into my compact Corsair ICUE 220T case even better. Included 12VHPWR cable for the new 12+4 pin connectors on modern GPUs is flat, and I purchased the sleeved braided version for 30 bucks to go with the rest of my cables. Using this to power an AMD 5800X3D and RTX 4070 TI Super on an MSI X570 MEG Unify motherboard with 32gb RAM. The RM650 would probably have been sufficient, but I wanted a higher wattage PSU just in case, and I'm really happy with the RM850e. Price was great too.

I have to stand up for Corsair on this being an atx3.0 PSU. One of the cable ends splits into two pieces so you can connect to your latest and greatest graphics card. It isn't well documented in any of the literature and I had to go online to get this info. If anything Corsair did a bad job of getting this to the consumer with no documentation in the box on this. Mine is quiet and does it job well. Z690 aero g Ddr4 2166 I5-14600k Gigabyte 4070ti super. So I am oversized on wattage need maybe this is why. I don't doubt some people's noise complaints, but perhaps they're running unit maxed out???? Not sure.

Qualidade de construção e operação da fonte é excelente. Apenas um adendo: não acompanha cabo de alimentação. Caso seja seu primeiro setup, será necessário adquirir um cabo à parte.

Tenia un bottleneck hace tiempo en mi pc por un upgrade que hice, cambie cpu y placa, añadi un ssdnvme y ni aun asi lograba entender por que sucedia pero se hizo evidente el dia que cambie mi monitor FHD por un 2K la maquina se me apagaba con todo y el no-break de mi sala, al parecer las temperaturas de mi PSU eran demasiado elevadas; el polvo mas la ola de calor hicieron evidente que tenia que cambiar mi fuente de ya casi 10 años de antiguedad, contaba con 1100W y certificacion gold pero el ventilador no dio la talla es mas hacia ruidos desde que la compre en un inicio. Todo cambio en cuanto instale esta nueva fuente, nada ruidosa, compacta y acorde con la estetica de mi gabinete que pertenece a la familia de la marca, hasta siento que las temperaturas de mi PC son mas estables, percibo una notoria mejora de mi setup y ha dejado de colgarse mi PC, talvez no sea LED o cuente con un diseño vanguardista pero cumple su funcion EXELENTE, el unico contra que le veo es que si tienes un gabinete amplio como el mio necesitaras si o si extenciones de cables para fuente

Works well

Bought it for building PC, works well without any real issue. A couple times in running for about a year now, there were complete shutdowns of PC when playing games. Unsure if it was PCU issues or the game was actually drawing lots of power at that time. However, very rare and PC has been running well.
