Good quality
A good Rosin. Nice being round and a dial to turn so not wasting. Good quality and helps the sound

Lovely rosin in a fancy box
It's rosin and all rosin is the same, right? Well no. You get what you play for and cheap rosin is very cheap, it dusts and can dry out and crack. With this you get a nice rosin that catches the strings beautifully, it keeps together and hasn't dried at all in all this heat (been abroad where it's been 34 to 39 deg C). There's also the case, it gimmick is you can open it one handed and there's a turning knob so you can spin your rosin so you don't end up with a rut....but as the rosin sits proud and the lid hinges back to expose it all, this spin wheel isn't needed at all. The only thing I'd want to change is you can't close it one handed. I've got a couple and both don't close unless you push both sides of the clips at the same time. This would be more useful than opening it with a squeeze. But other than that one personal niggle, this is a perfect little pot of golden joy.

It rotates
Lovely rosin not overly solid like other cheaper brands, the added turn function is definitely worth it.

Lovely Rosin but the fancy box isn't what it should be
Although this is advertised primarily for violin, viola and cello, I wanted to see how it faired for double bass and I am happy so far. It's of course personal taste with Rosin but it arrived in superb condition and sound and feel are perfect for me as an all-rounder. I am disappointed with the box that supposedly makes this rosin so special. Upon discovering this product I was excited as the whole idea of a handy pop open box I could use with one hand was perfect for the kind of work I do (largely in the pit) but the box actually doesn't open properly and I end up having to use both hands anyway. the rotating dial is a cool gimmick but not necessary and mine actually doesn't work very well as it gets stuck. Had the box been what I expected this would be 5 stars and I couldn't bring it down any more because the actual rosin is lovely. I would recommend your electric and double bass all-rounder players give this a try.

Great rosin
I felt this rosin was quite pricey when I bought it. However, after using it I now understand why its price is a bit on the high side. My playing has improved immensely since using this rosin, grips the strings really well and has all but eliminated the bow sliding over the strings. It’s not overly gripping the strings so no more crunching sounds and no more screeching over the strings as it has the ideal level of grip. An added benefit is that my violin isn’t covered in rosin dust as very little dust is created. All and all I love this rosin and now understand why there’s a difference between cheap rosin and more expensive rosin. That’s not to say there aren’t any good cheap rosins out there. If you were lucky enough to find one, that’s great, unfortunately after buying many cheap rosins I was unable to find one that came anywhere near matching this rosin.

Quality rosin!
Love this. Read reviews and decided to take a chance on this dark rosin. I found it helped produce a better lasting warmer tone. At that price, definitely worth giving it a go ,

Great Rosin & well designed case
This premium rosin comes in a really well-designed case made of plastic that feels soft to the touch. The case is designed so much so that you can use it one-handed and also has a handy feature where you can rotate the rosin to avoid a groove forming. I use this rosin on my cello bow and it creates a good amount of grip, I sometimes use it on my violin bow to get a more gritty sound. The only improvement I can think of is the ability to replace the rosin which isn't yet available. Seems a shame to throw away such a nice case. Great product that I would recommend to any string player (aspiring or pro)

Smaller than you'd expect
I'm a professional player and use rosin every week. To me the box is more important than its contents, rosin is rosin, light or dark is the only significant choice. It's so brittle that the box is the deciding factor of how long it will be useful. So I bought this. It's a bit small and fiddly in the fingers, that's my only criticism. I've been a professional performer since the 1970s and had 2 szigeti blocks since then. Don't be taken in by sales talk, use rosin sparingly, like once in three playing days, and buy one which works in your climate. Humidity and temperature are far more significant than which brand you use.
