Blastin’!
Wonderful upgrade at an unbeatable price. Our huge full size long wheel base super duty sounded like a clown was hopelessly trying to get your attention. It never bothered us at first, until we started hauling an rv. People seem to think that it’s the most wise decision they have ever made in their lives to cut off or pull out in front of a big pickup truck hauling a big rig that requires a long distance to slow/stop. The days of trying to road rage at these imbeciles while not giggling at the seemingly hilarious clown horn are over. Now you can see the fear in the eyes of deer brained drivers that cut you off and put everyone’s lives in danger. They instantly realize they messed up and speed up when they hear the loud blast of sound coming from this sniper kit. It installed very easy with the supplied components. Only had to use my own soldering sticks as I elected to tap into the pre existing horn power. Went with horn blasters because they have a much higher standard of quality and their products always work great. The sound this horn creates is more of a Mac truck sound, and not a train horn, which was the desired effect we were going for. You can pair this with other kits that have the 3 smaller horns to achieve more of a train sound if that’s what your going for. This is loud enough, and gave our truck the masculinity it deserved from the factory.

Not ear splitting
I was hoping for louder but this will do. Sorry I mounted it in the engine bay.

Cool little horn, sounds like a semi truck
This is great. I figured out how to mount it to the bumper using existing bolts and holes. didn't have to drill anything. Works great with Ford upfitter switches

Great sound, but wires exposed
I love the sound. However, engine compartments are often too cluttered to fit a big horn. I think most people are going to put this in front of their radiator since there's usually a nice big space there. That being said, it's in a position where it will be exposed to water/rain. Unless you wrap all the wiring locations with electrical tape, you'll have issues after several exposures to moisture. I think the design could be better in terms of hiding/protecting the wiring from moisture exposure.

Distructions and prewired!! Easy to hook up!!
The sniper Single horn has big ship sound without paying $1000’s for the big ship horn arrangement. I bought it for my Buick wagon because it needs a big horn Benz. It’s a big boat. Smiles

Bought Twice & Twice I Got a Used and Broken Horn with No Instructions!
The first time I ordered, I received the horn but you could tell that it was not new ... there were no instructions, parts were scratched and one of the plugs was discolored, so it was someone's return. So, I returned the horn and had another shipped to me. I had the same problem! The horn was not new; it had scratches from someone trying to install it previously, the plug was bent up AND again, no instructions for installation. I decided to get my refund this time and order straight from the manufacturer.

Great price, solid performance, instructions non-existent
This is the Sniper from Hornblasters. Hornblasters has been around for a long time. I've wanted to put a set of their Conductor's Special horns in my truck for years, but never could get past the buy-in price. When this product became available, I ordered it. The box includes the horn, compressor, relay, and relay harness, as well as some mounting hardware. Everything was wrapped up well enough that the items arrived without damage. There are no instructions included in the box. I can't imagine why not, but I did find instructions on the hornblasters.com website. I will note that I had to dig around on the website for a good while before I found them, which was frustrating, and they are generic for three or four different electric horns, which is understandable. Mounting and installing the horn, compressor and air tubing is a no-brainer with or without instructions, but a basic wiring diagram should have been included with the product. It could have even been printed on the box; there was more than enough blank space for it. Wiring up the horn is relatively simple. The relay includes four terminals - one for power to the compressor, one for ground to the chassis, one for power from the battery, and one for signal power from the switch or the vehicle's factory horn. This aligns with what is shown on the installation instructions provided on the website. This does NOT align with the included plug which connects to the relay. The plug has a jumper going from the ground terminal over to the power output to the compressor. So the relay will not be grounded, except through the compressor's ground. I suppose this will work, but I don't understand why the jumper exists / why the relay isn't grounded or why the instructions don't match the relay harness provided. Regardless, it was easy to bench test the horn for sound using the 10-amp charge setting on my power supply; see attached video. I also tested it at the 2-amp charge setting, which yielded a subdued tone, and at the 50-amp jump-start setting, which yielded a louder louder tone, but not by much (above the 10-amp tone). The tone of the horn is similar to my truck's existing horns (2005 Dodge Ram 3500), and/but honestly, I can't tell that it's that much louder than the factory horn. It may get louder once it's installed and operating off of the truck's electrical system, but I doubt it. Once I get it installed, I will circle back to this review and post results. It may be a while, given we're into the holidays and winter weather. Either way, it's a cool product and at this price point, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a new horn or a different-sounding horn. The components are of good quality and appear as though they should last for a good long time. One word of caution for anyone with a 3rd gen Dodge - the horns are located under the fuse panel on the driver's side of the engine bay, and they're nearly inaccessible. If you were planning to splice into the factory power supply to the horns to supply signal power to the relay for the Sniper electric horn, you may want to reconsider.
