THIS IS A FANTASTIC BIKE LIGHT!
Ok, with this review I don’t want to take away from the larger, brighter, 2600 lumen version of this light, but WOW! Just WOW! WOW is the smaller 1200 lumen version of this light ever bright! I mean this light is absolutely amazing how bright it is! I’m sure the larger one would be even better by far, but for a bicycle or electric scooter (what we have) it is unnecessary to have the larger one. The 1200 lumen light will be good enough. So for now, this review is just my overall inpression of the light just out of the box. I will add to it after I have had a chance to take my bike on a night time ride. Just out of the box, the light may or may not have a charge. We bought two of them for our bikes. One was about 50% charged already and the other was so discharged that it wouldn’t even turn on. However I was able to test it immediately by plugging it in to charge. It turned on and went through the functions just fine. On the right side there is a power button to turn it on. You press it multiple times to go through the settings, and finally press it again to turn it off. There is also a USB-C charging port on the right side, and 4 small blue LED lights to indicate charging status and percent of charge. About the light and its functions. The light has three separate projectors inside. The low beam uses the two outer lights. The beam pattern is pretty even with no dark spots in it. It is nice and wide. It casts light out ahead quite a ways. I’m unsure of the distance right now but I tested it in the back yard and it lit up the trees 70’ feet away with all ease. About the same as the commonly sold 18w pod lights that are so popular on four wheelers. The low beam seems to be a kind of a flood light. There’s no bright spots in the pattern, just a good evenly dispersed light with a nice sharp and flat edge at the top of the beam. This makes it easy to adjust to not blind oncoming cars. The high beam uses just the center projector and it casts a round beam like what a flash light would throw. It is a spot light. Using the high beam raises the height of the light pattern as well. I observed this by mounting the light on my bike in the garage and testing it against the garage door. Once I had the low beam adjusted to what I felt would be reasonably low enough not to blind oncoming cars, then I turned on the high beam and saw that it raised the beam spot about a foot or so higher than where the low beam was. The third option is to run both low and high beam together. This is so bright that unless you were off road I don’t think you would want to use this setting very often. The fourth option is running low and high together but in a flashing mode. Maybe use this during the daytime to get other people to see you. The mount is just a simple clamp that wraps around the handle bars. The clamp is made to fit three different sizes of handle bars. I mounted it onto a bar that is 7/8” in diameter. This is the smallest bar it will fit. As tight as I was able to make it, it was still easy to turn the clamp up and down on the bar. I was afraid that this would make it easy to knock the light out of adjustment so I trimmed a couple of pieces of electrical tape and applied them on the inside of the clamp as a shim and reinstalled the clamp. This worked well to prevent accidentally changing the adjustment of the light. Also the light can be easily removed from the mount clamp for charging, and then put back on again without needing to readjust the aim. Watch this review for future updates, coming soon!

Power, safety, and even a phone charge — all in one light.
Wow, this light is something else. I honestly didn’t expect it to be THAT bright – it’s like having a mini car headlight on my handlebar. The high lumens and 5 LEDs make every road sign, branch, or pothole show up super clear even on dark trails. I can finally ride at night and actually feel safe, not guessing what’s up ahead. The high-beam/low-beam switch is smart, feels like automotive grade, and I use it all the time when passing people or cars. Battery life is really solid – I rode the whole evening and night before it even needed charging. I love that it’s USB-C, no more hunting for some old cable. The case feels tough, not cheap plastic, and the waterproof seal already survived one Florida rain. One of my favorite surprises – you can charge your iPhone from it if you get stuck on a long ride! It’s basically a light and power bank in one, and that saved me once when my phone died halfway home. Mounting was simple and stays tight, even on rough pavement - it is very smart mounting. There’s also a neat battery indicator so I always know how much juice is left. I wish the manual had bigger print (tiny letters), but setting up is still easy. If you care about safety, brightness, and not being left in the dark, this is the light to get.

Not impressed
Was trilled about the luminosity, however came to realize the bike lamp just will not stay secured to the holder in the long run. When riding bumps, and who hasn’t, the lamp falls off because no matter how the holder knob is tightened . The design was probably well intended for manufacture, but the reality it doesn’t hold up in this bikers real world. Found this out a bit longer the return timeline.

Much dimmer than expected - Update!
Edit 06/27/24 - I am now giving the light 5 stars. I used the light a few times on rides since this review and did not get the dimming effect. the light maintained it's initial brightness. I suspect the dimmer is a protection feature when there's overheating. Secondly, I did hear back from support and they confirmed that it's likely the overheating protection feature kicking in. I have upped my rating to 5 stars since the unit operates as intended, is VERY bright and has a secure installation point and easy to aim. The light spread is wide and illuminates a lot of the path ahead. It is also priced affordably! I do not hesitate to recommend this light! Initial Review: Brightness - The most important factor when choosing a light... initially it is very bright and very impressive, but after riding for 3-4 minutes, it dims to less than half-power. Shutting it off and on again restores the light to full brightness once more, however, the it dims again within 30 seconds. Did this on-off process a few times with the same result. Warranty - I did not use the light until day 31 of ownership so I could not return it : ( However, I did send an email to inquire about a possible claim for replacement under warranty. It's been 5 days and no response yet... I just sent a follow up email. I will update this review if the situation improves.

Great as a light, but self-discharge time is too short
PROs: The mounting is secure-doesn’t sag but stays adjustable. Easy to install/remove for charging. Great lighting pattern and brightness - beats the heck out of coin-cell-powered LED lights! CONs: I don’t use very often, and recharge it after each use of about 10 - 15 minutes. Two of the five times I’ve needed it the battery was completely dead, and I had to resort to my crappy coin-cell lamp to get home. Not great due to this, as it self-discharges in a week or two without use, so it isn’t as reliable as I would have expected a Lithium battery powered unit to be. I would have to check the battery every day, but forget … and then it’s dead. Improve the battery self-discharge time and this is a 5-star bike lamp.

worked great--until it didnt
this light was great while it worked. Super bright, wide field of view, it was great to use mountain biking on night rides. it worked splendidly on ten or twelve night rides over teh coruse of a year. However, Monday night i took it for a ride, and it didnt seem as bright. when I finished, the light would not turn off. The switch just was not working. I thought I would let it run all the way down and then charge it again and see if that somehow reset it. however, it is now thursday afternoon and the light is still glowing faintly. It has not turned off, the LEDs are just glowing very faintly. It is clear that something has gone wrong with the light. I loved it while it lasted, and a couple of other friends were so impressed with it when it was working that I sent them the link and they bought one as well. I will be interested to see if they have the same experience.

Go ahead and get the light.
The light is perfect. Just bright enough for 28 mph at nighttime, MAX. The flash option is wonderful in the daytime…you can see it reflect off the signs. People actively move out of your way and give space.
