This simply saved me from buying a whole new office chair. And we know how expensive those are.

The product works as advertised and expected. I bought two of these for two separate chairs. The first box did not contain the screwdriver, which is not really needed, the second box did include the screwdriver. I used all three rings on each chair. They snapped together into place rather easily. I also put a zip tie (which I already had a bunch of) around each ring to hopefully secure it even more. The zip ties might not be necessary but I saw that on a different brand of chair sink stopper rings and thought it was a good idea. I am heavy and these have been sturdy so far, but that's only a few days. Too early to tell, but I'll update this review if they eventually break. Although replacing the gas cylinder would be better, I would recommend this product as an alternative. UPDATED June 2023 I've used these rings for over a year now and they have remained sturdy, so I am very happy with them. But I have a cautionary story. Recently the seat I was sitting on began to wobble a lot. I was able to stand up before the seat and back fell onto the floor. Turns out the old gas cylinder had gotten so weak that it fell down inside the rings out of the bottom of the seat. That is NOT a failure of these rings, just a complete failure of the gas cylinder. So I just want to caution folks to be careful of that happening. I then bought a new gas cylinder and installed it. The hard part was getting the old cylinder out of the wheeled base, it was VERY stuck and it took a bunch of very hard hammering. And then I put these rings on the new cylinder as well because I don't want the cylinder/seat to ever sink below that level. So these rings are still very useful even on a new gas cylinder acting as a minimum stop. Therefore I highly recommend these sturdy sinking chair rings.

Assembly - easy. Functionality - meets expectations. Price - beats a new chair. One less problem in my life to worry about!

Bit pricey, but exactly what I needed. Saved me from buying another chair. They're sturdy but unlock very easily if you ever need to adjust them.

This is a simple and practical solution to the "sinking chair syndrome", where the hydraulic cylinder under the seat of office chairs tends to lose its compression and slowly sink to its lowest position. I've used clamp devices in the past, with limited success, but simply blocking the cylinder from moving makes the most sense. This particular device works by clicking together two-piece spacers made of a hard plastic material. The three supplied spacers are different sizes to allow you to adjust the height of the chair to suit your needs. The spacers are said to be able to fit most office chair cylinders, and they seem plenty strong and durable. For me, the large spacer fit just fine and clicked into place with little effort. The medium spacer, however, wasn't so easy. It fit so tightly around the cylinder that I couldn't get it to fully close. Another reviewer mentioned that he used a zip tie to secure the spacer, and I ended up doing the same. It works fine, but it would have been better if the spacer were sized a bit better. I debated about the rating, but I can't give this product 5 stars when I (and others) had to use a zip tie to make it work. It's priced right, and it makes the chair stable and firmly in place, but that one flaw makes it a 4-star device.
