Easy to use after set up.
I am a 5' 2 1/2" woman and it was heavy but I did it and love this machine! It is well worth the money for me. The only thing I had a problem with was putting the bottom clips on the frame so my husband did it for me. I sprayed some of what I needed to do but need to get some more of the strong vinegar I used for my natural mix. Great product.

For the price I wouldn’t buy if it’s going to leak after a few uses
Returned the first one because it leaked from the bottom. The second one seemed to do better last year. Went to use it for the first time this year and it’s leaking

It works great.
So I was looking for an electric chemical sprayer to spray bug killer and/or weed killer at a distance of at least 15' and I also needed a good amount of volume of the liquid. All the companies say on their boxes how long their batteries last, how many gallons their tanks hold.BUT None of the companies tell you what the maximum amount of volume it will/can spray per minute with nozzle wide open. I think this unit can spray just under a half of a gallon per minute. If the nozzle was wide open. Which was perfect when I needed the volume.Well this Chapin unit does the job. Sprays a stream of liquid over 20 feet. Of course only when you set the nozzle for a stream spray. You can make the nozzle spray a mist and it will not go that far.The electric pump system stops automatically when you stop spraying. Some other smaller sprayers just keep running until you manually turn off the switch.I have tried smaller electric sprayer units from other companies. They are smaller and maybe easier to handle, but do not spray the volume that I wanted. The area that I just sprayed with my new Chapin only took me 60 minutes to complete when using my other smaller sprayer, it would take me almost two hour and have to refill too many times.Pros:Easy to fill with the large fill opening. Easy to see the volume left. Battery lasted for my 60 minutes. Spray wand was very comfortable and had a long enough hose to be able to reach while spraying. Spray wand hand a lock "ON" feature which was nice. Motor stops pumping when not spraying,Minor Cons:- cannot tell how much battery power is left, but the box says it is good for 1.75 hours. - Wish there was a handle strap at the top of the tank, so I could easily carry it with one hand while it is not on my back. - maybe a spare nozzle to provide a more narrow spray. No major Cons.

Expensive, but worth it
I use this for weed control in Texas, where the grass and weeds grows faster than the national debt. It certainly makes for a easier spray. I just wish they could find a differrent way to hold the spray wand than across the frame. Vertical hold would be better than the horizontal hold.

Heh, disappointed
Mine has pumped around 12 gallons of mixed herbicide in its entire life. It was throughly cleaned and rinsed, stored in a heated garage, hung upside down. Pump runs, fails to build any pressure. I disassembled the pump assembly, inspected the screen, it all looks new. I guess sitting for a few months dry took the pump out. I’ll have to buy another one, but I’m done with Chaplin.

Battery life is lacking
Sprayer is of good quality. Pump has been running wonderfully.Unfortunately, a lot more negative to be said. The shoulder straps need more padding, a full tank is painful to carry and arms start aching at the shoulders pretty quickly. Leaking, I’m assuming the vented cap is the leak point, because a full tank splashes as you walk, and it runs down your back. Be extremely careful if you’re using an indicator dye, I’d suggest only 2-3 gallons at a time. Now to the battery. 1.75 hours is, in my experience, extremely misleading. I started with a full charge at noon today, it is currently 5 pm. In those 5 hours, I have been able to spray 7000 sqft, of my 16000 sqft yard. It is currently on the charger, for the second time. I got 75 mins the first charge. Then it was on the charger for 90 mins, and I got an additional 35 mins. These times of use are including mixing my treatment in 4 gallon batches to refill. I was able to put 28 gallons through the sprayer in this time of use.I know it’s not professional grade stuff here. But I had higher expectations. Hopefully I can get enough life from it to finish spraying my property before dark.
