Craftsmanship: Yamaha quality. I've owned a couple Yamaha guitars and this one is consistent with their brand. The FG800 appears to be much higher quality in materials and design than most of its competitors at lower price points. The head, tuning pegs, and fretboard are much nice than Epiphone DR-100. I wasn't sure about the Natural spruce colour for the top when I ordered it, but it looks great. The strings are good quality and setup are very nice. Medium. They remain in tune over long periods. Packaging: Packaged for shipment in a light, but highly-protected corrugated cardboard box with clear labels that it's a guitar. Surprised there was no damage but it arrived in perfect condition. This set does not include any accessories which may be useful for beginners. Great guitar to learn on, I could play this for several hours on end.

Just an excellent first guitar. Go for it. If strings seem used replace the strings. Sometimes the guitar may be used so, return it in that case. But in most cases its gonna be a great product. Have fun! Action is also good enough. Weight is moderate. And product is durable and rust resistant and size is also perfect.

Wonderful guitar. I checked the guitar setup and the string height is spot on right out of the box which is great because I don't have to spend any extra money to get it setup properly. After tuning up the guitar it stays in tune very well from day to day and needs none to very little tuning. The sound is rich, bright and projects very well. The wood is beautiful and the finish is flawless. The spruce top is matched which I could not belief when I first looked at it.. I am trying to think of something that I don't like about this guitar but I can't find anything. I am glad I bought this guitar and I enjoy playing it every day and I think for the price it is exceptional value.
