Update (October 31, 2025 Halloween!) The company reviewed my review and was kind enough to ship me a replacement grinder on their own initiative even though I did not ask for a replacement. The new one seems to be a newer model and comes with a nice charging stand that uses the preferred USB-C port, and there is a white light when it is placed in the stand. It might be my imagination but the new grinder seems to be a bit more powerful than the old one, and a bit quicker because of that. I am happy and satisfied with the customer service. I have therefore increased the rating from one star to four stars. I will comeback here in a few months and report to you on its longevity. ============================ The unit has acceptable functionality. Quite a nice storage for adequate quantities of salt and pepper. Easy to fill. I like the fact that it uses the now universal USB-C rather than the ancient micro-usb for charging. The only thing is that it is dead now -- after what I would call a light use (less than once a day on average) after 3 months. A dead appliance is useless, no matter how good it was.

I was contacted by the company after this review and apparently there was an issue with the older model's power unit which has since been fixed. I was sent a newer model that is rechargeable and we have 0 issues with it. We love using it and knowing that it's not going to die every other day. Plus it has the ability to recharge now with the new model and I've only had to charge it once so far. The issue that we had with the front door falling off hasn't been an issue on the new model either. Overall, we are very impressed after the revisions that happened. Old review below: ------------------------ I wanted this to work SO bad. I bought it as a gift for my wife who wanted an electric salt/pepper mill. The first one worked for a bit then died. We exchanged it for another and now we can't get batteries to stay alive in it. All rechargeable batteries do not seem to work at all, LiFe non-rechargeable batteries don't work at all.. If I put in expensive Duracell or Energizer batteries, it only works for a short time. I really wish I could return this still. I've had it sitting on the counter for a few months not in use because it takes $10 in batteries every month. That's insane! I see why they released a new model that has an internal battery that is rechargeable. That makes way more sense to me. I do not recommend this specific SKU of this product. I just can't.

I've used this thing for months now and I'm sick of it. I'm throwing this in the garbage and looking for something better. This is like the tenth time it has malfunctioned and spilled very expensive salt and pepper all over my floor. The plastic slide door design is TRASH, you slide the door downwards to refill it. This is horrible since gravity can easily push it back down and then it spills everything out. It's also really hard to refill without accidentally mixing everything together - the door can also be hard to slide closed since the grooves easily get salt and pepper granules stuck in them. This also eats AAA batteries like no tomorrow - it dies so quickly. The grinder starts jamming and stopping if the batteries aren't brand new, I've tested the battery life when the grinder starts getting weak and jamming and it's only at half charge - batteries aren't even low and I need to replace them - it's such a waste.

I received my grinder dead on arrival. Does the company QA the products prior to packaging?? The LED lights on the bottom of the grinder turn on when pressing the grind button, but the grinder motor does not initiate (even after 2 hr charge). Manual states that if that happens, you must charge it or call support. To leave this review unbiased, I will review the product based on other things I noticed. The USB-C charge LED is 180 degrees behind the charge port and would light up when the product is charging. However, you must use their USB-A to USB-C cable in order for the indicator light to charge up. I've tried a USB-C/PD charge brick to the device, with no avail, as well as a usb-c to usb-c table via powerbank and the charging LED would not light up. Also, the cover for the course salt+pepper is flimsy, make sure you slide the cover all the way up so it snaps shut. I would also tape the cover in case you drop it, because the cover would come right off. I am waiting for AmZN to send a replacement so I can report on it's actual functionality, but expect the charging constraints will persist. Update: I have received the replacement and both motors successfully grind! It is disappointing that the first one arrived dead on arrival. With the working product, my nit on the device requiring a the included usb-a/usb-c persists, that not all usb-c cables would charge this device. I also wish the device came with a base or coaster to sit the device on, as remnants of grounds may get shaken to the bottom of the device when not in use. The MFG of the product has also seen the issues that I've encountered with the device and has offered to comp my purchase, so I am gracious for their support and hope this can help them improve their products going forward. I ended up re-purchasing the AAA battery operated one as a gift from this vendor.

O moedor elétrico cumpri bem seu papel. Percebe se q é bem feito e compartimento de pimenta e sal tem tamanho bom(tampinha q veda funcionando bem porém tem q ficar ligado, deslizar pra baixo ela abri de vez e derrama tudo, mas fixa bem uma vez fechada ) A minha nao é de carregamento como alguns aqui falaram q tem bateria imbutida, a minha é a pilha, 4 pilhas AAA pequen (porém uma dica compre pilha boas e do modelo + ou force) pois coloquei uma marca, novas e só acendia a lanterna de iluminação em baixo e nada de moer, então troquei por uma marca melhor e com mais energia e esta funcionando de boa ! Recomendo

This is such a neat gadget! it simply refills on the front, the S & P lettering on the buttons are large and clear. There are dials underneath to adjust the coarseness of the salt and the pepper...but the biggest surprise is that when you use the gadget, there is a very handy flash light so you can see what you're doing. Just plonk in 4 x AAA batteries (respecting orientation), fill the corresponding Chambers and you're good to go. Well chuffed with this purchase

This is awesome for those who struggle with grinders or if you want to keep a hand clean while dealing with chicken/meat in the other. Easy to fill and batteries last!

Salt side of the grinder stopped working after 1 month

This is an update to an existing dual S & P grinder which I have had for many years. And this is a big improvement over my old grinder. Not only does it grind better, it is easier to fill and is rechargeable via a USB C port. Much easier than replacing 6 x AAA batteries. And being a single handed grinder it is more convenient then separate S & P grinders. Highly recommended. I hope it lasts as long as my earlier grinder.
