KICKER 43CVR122 12 Inch Comp-VR Woofer Black

This speaker replaced my Kicker CV-12 300 Watt Max with a single voice coil and the dual voice coils are wired in series inside of the CV's Kicker box for a 1-Ohm resistance and then connected to a 400 Watt Kicker CVX Mono Amplifier which is rated at 400 Watts RMS but measuring with a volt meter has shown actual output at 1 Ohm is actually around 520 which is just barely over this speakers recommend Max RMS which allows me to get the full output power of my amp and it is almost like the amp and the speaker are made for one another! One day soon I plan on trading in my 400 Watt CVX for an 800 Watt one and on that day I will most certainly be buying another one of these! I bought it because my 12" CV had a 4-Ohm voice coil which meant that the amp was only able to give it 150 Watts of RMS and caused it to feel underwhelming, upon removal of that speaker and addition of this one with its duals wired in series I went from just hearing the bass, to actually feeling the bass and you can continue to feel it up to 250' away at half volume, its getting 3 times the wattage and giving me 4 times the volume and 5 times the sound quality and allows me to absolutely crank up the Amy's gain and bass boost as high as it will go! My neighbors loved how it sounded so much first they threw a rock through my window to hear better and then they invited the cops so they could listen to how good it sounded also! The cop awarded me with a blue ribbon with my name on top that they signed and gave me a date to show up at their sound competition, they checked the name of it on the ribbon also as "Noise Ordinance" I think I'm gonna win $500!

This thing kicks like a mule!!! Get the right amp and box and this speaker hits like there are two 12s. Im running a Boss 1100watt peak mono amp at half power to keep my rear view mirror from shaking out of place! I need a 10-12 Guage wire for the speaker, i burned through a 16 in about 10 days running the amp at full power.

This is a great starter subwoofer. If you looking for clean bass for casual rides. It sure gives off a good punch. I put a single 12 inch sub in my mid sized SUV paired with a 1000 w amp. And it hits hard. It's perfect for what it is.
