ROYAL CANIN Renal Special Cat Food, 2 kg

Amazing Qauilty really suited my cat who had renal problems.

Vets recommended this as my cat has Renal problems. She loves it.

Cats love the stuff and great fir elderly cats,sadly now there on there 4th bag greedy bleeps ,but love them and they enjoy so worth it

Originally recommended by our local vet as an alternative to prescription drugs when our middle-aged cat was diagnosed with moderate kidney problems about a year ago. We use it as a supplement to his wet food rather than a complete replacement for all his other food, as he's always preferred a mixed diet. Since he's been eating this Renal Special food it has been noticeable that he drinks less obsessively than just before his kidney problems were discovered. We keep expecting him to grow tired of the Royal Canin but so long as he has other things to eat as well he still tucks into it most days. We had the first carton from the vet, but since then have bought it online paying little more than the vet's price of a 1 kilo bag for a 2 kilo bag from Monster Pet Supplies. The only drawback to buying in large quantities is keeping it fresh, but by having a separate small container for day-to-day use, thus minimising the opening of the original packet, it seems to keep its taste for months. We certainly worked our way through the first whole 2 kilo bag without any waste and are now almost halfway through the second.

Cat eats this chicken or fish, thank goodness. Kidney problem found early stage 2 through blood test for something else.

Was weary cat wouldn’t take to the biscuits but he loves them! Hopefully they are also helping his kidneys.

I rescued my cat from a student home where for years she was fed wet food (whiskas I think). She was an unsocial cat, not very affectionate or active...kinda depressed really. 1 month after bringing her home (we continued feeding her wet food) we discovered she had a bladder infection and a few weeks later serious renal failure, she was kept alive at the Vets on fluids etc for a week and soon after broke her leg in the garden somehow...she had to have that amputated and soon after was at deaths door again...the vets kept her alive and afterwards we nursed her back to health. 2 years later we have a very happy, active, loving, healthy middle aged cat with the softest fur you will ever feel. We have fed her this Royal Canin since the day she came home from the vets, she stopped eating all wet foods except encore tuna & whitebait (she now has 1 pouch a week as a treat). She knows that she needs to drink extra water for her condition (cats aren't stupid, hard wired predators, they are intelligent, adaptive survivors) and keep warm. Over the last 2 years she has done a complete U turn from her illness, and her former life...I don't know very much about the biology of cats and the details of her condition, kidney's - food etc, I do know this is the only dry food she likes (because she knows it helps??) and she's never been healthier.

Mein Kater fraß nicht nach Tablettenverordnung und Umstellung. Habe viel ausprobiert und bin bei diesem Futter hängen geblieben. Hat wirklich sehr geholfen, die Tierärztin hat dem auch zugestimmt. Kater frisst wieder normal und das Futter gerne und die Werte haben sich bislang nicht verschlechtert. Sehr gut!

Per la mia gatta che aimeh ormai è anziana queste crocchette sono fantastiche! Arrivate molto velocemente ed al prezzo più basso che ho potuto trovare in rete! U prodotto must per la salute del gatto un pò avanti con l'età!

Al mio gatto di dieci anni è stato purtroppo diagnosticata una insufficienza renale al quarto stadio, non ci sono cure per guarire ma solo per allungargli la sua vita. Il mio veterinario ha indicato come unico cibo da somministrare queste crocchette specifiche per i reni, di questa marca o un’altra che ho provato ma sono equiparabili. Le crocchette renal sono specifiche per i gatti con insufficienza renale cronica e per questo motivo hanno un ridotto livello di fosforo e proteine e solo di alta qualità. Sono mesi che acquisto questo prodotto, a volte online a volte in negozio a seconda dell’offerta e della mia presenza a casa. Quando sono fuori trovo infatti comodo ma anche necessario l’acquisto online. In questo caso, data l’offerta, è stato anche economicamente vantaggioso. Il vantaggio di questa specifica confezione “renal special” sta nella dimensione delle crocchette, più piccole rispetto a quelle classiche “renal” e per il mio gatto questo è fondamentale non avendo più i denti. Causa una precedente malattia ho dovuto eseguire l’estrazione dei denti e quindi non è più in grado di masticare. Gusto pollo e confezione salva freschezza. La confezione è da 2 kg e il prezzo al momento dell’acquisto era di euro 24, qualche euro in meno del suo regolare prezzo.
