G.H. Bass & Co.Men's Fireside Flannels Long Sleeve Button Down Shirt

One thing I want to mention first to warn y'all is that ours came with 1 straight pin securing the upper sleeves in the folding, but the 2 other places it was secured were with the thin plastic ties that pop off easily. Since I found the plastic ones first, I assumed all would be plastic and started tugging. That's when I found the real straight pin. I stopped before I did damage, but it could have made a nasty pull in the fabric. Not real fussed about it, but I did think I should mention.As far as the shirt itself, I really really liked this one. It's extremely soft and feels "solid" but not "heavy", as in the material isn't terribly thick but it doesn't feel flimsy, thin, or cheap. The colors are rich and bright, and it looks excellent on my husband. He's very picky about the feel of his clothes, and he loved this one, too.The sizing seemed true - It fit him well, not snug but not floppy, which is, imo, perfect for a flannel. It has some good room in the shoulders - he's finishing up a patio he's building in our yard and says it hasn't felt binding. So for those that want work clothes, this seems like it would fit that bill, but I still feel it's good looking enough to be great for casual everyday, as well. The stitching feels quite solid as well.He liked it enough that he's given me 'permission' to get it again, so I've two more on my personal account (deep blue salute & kelp (ok, not the greatest color name))

I'm not sure what people are talking about when they say the shirt sleeves are short. I have fairly long arms - they look awesome and proportionate to the rest of the whole package I have going on here ;) - and the sleeves are fine. Let me start by saying I am 5'11, 173 and athletic (I hate it when reviewers don't mention their measurements. How are we supposed to compare??). Anyways, I got the medium thinking it would be a perfect fit. The shirt is comfortable, soft as a kittens' purr, and warm as a smile, but it fits me like a GIANTS CLOAK! come on! I could fit another me in here! Let me better explain - If I had my exact same measurements, but I had a HUGE belly, this shirt would fit me awesome. Come to think of it, this would make an awesome maternity shirt. There you go. I highly recommend it for that! :)But seriously - this came so close to perfection. So close, in fact, that I am returning it for a small. I hope that it is perfect. This one almost is. I won't take away stars, because everything else is perfect!!. I'm returning it for the small

This flannel is well made and the colors/pattern are great. I was somewhat disappointed at the fit. I am a large man (6'3" | 240lbs) and struggle with many brands to find a fit. Most companies seem to think adding an X just means making the waist bigger and only fractionally increasing length at the hem and sleeves. This held true here. I would go to a XXL if you normally wear an XL in long sleeve shirts, but I would be afraid the fit would look like a bell on me... just getting wider through the middle and bottom without solving for the length and tight fit across my broad shoulders and chest. I guess I should know by now to only look at brands with a XL-Long option, but this shirt is still wearable and super nice, if not a bit uncomfortable when fully buttoned up for me.

Bought one before, found that it held up well in repeated wearing and washing. Does not need ironing, a pleasant surprise. Some shrinkage, it's cotton of course. But not excessive.Found the sizing to be surprisingly accurate. Sleeves long compared to body girth but if you're average build and average to tall height you should be fine. Roll up the sleeves, it's a good look anyway. :)Gained a couple pounds between purchases, so ordered a size up this time mostly out of vanity. This one comfortable but not at all baggy.Fabric is very soft and impressive construction for the price. Note that these are not heavy weight, they'd be uncomfortably warm in summer but in a real cold winter you probably want to add a layer, a vest at least. FYI this is true of any shirt in this price range.Most but not all color combinations and names change frequently. Would be nice to have more solid color options but if you're okay with plaid, they're good choices.

Very comfortable flannel and actually my first one I have ever owned. Feels warm but I’m currently wearing it inside and I’m not overly hot. Soft and not itchy. I bought a few more I like it so much. As far as shrinking I cannot comment just yet but I will follow instructions and comment back here. Great value. I ordered a xxl and feels slightly big than I’m used to but I’m fine with that because of Possibly shrinking. Length currently feels perfect. Hoping for the best after washing. Stay tunedAfter washing, I tumble dried on low heat. Perfectly fine and I did not notice any shrinking. Very happy.

Alright, where do I begin...When my flannel shirt arrived, I immediately tried it on. I'm pleased to report that I'm very happy with my purchase!!For the money spent, it seems like a quality flannel. It feels soft and comfortable, not itchy, but it also feels substantial... like you're getting your money's worth. I also appreciate how trendy and hipster it looks.Next time I'm on the hunt for hipster clothing, I'll look for G.H. Bass & Co.

Purchased as a gift. My Father-in-law needed warm shirts to wear while getting health treatments. He loved these shirts so much, he was wearing them all day! They are soft and warm and a perfect fit. Thank you for having these items available when most winter clothes aren’t.
