2 of the pieces was cat from same piece but vertically, so I’ll make them fish style prayer beads in order to see and enjoy continuity of the wood. 2 of them were totally from different pieces.

I received some beautiful pieces of wood. I assume they are stabilized or they are extremely dense. Either way, nice handle material.

Image used to get rid of these off -cuts of unusable scrap timber shows a beautiful wave grained hardwood with a chiaroscuro of a gold/brown similar to a cocobolo, or variety thereof. Received are 4 pieces of a quite bland, straight grain. I have better examples, closer to those depicted in my fire wood pile. Now it has fallen to me to waste a good chunk of my time prepping them and getting them over to the Post Office for return.

Leider völlig willkürlich zusamnen gestellt. Maserung nicht symmetrisch, da aus unterschiedlichen Blöcken. Schönes Material, keine Frage, aber ein (Damast-) Messer hat links und rechts eine Griffschale, die zumindest eine ähnliche Masrung haben.
