Good economical choice for casual or shorter rides
I've had these for a number of years now. They are very comfortable when new and stayed well-padded for a number of years but they definitely do not have the durability of a more expensive biking shorts.Size was perfect, though I personally prefer a little more compression. This is of course totally personal preference. The padding is just right - not too much, not too little - for short to medium-length rides as well as indoor training. So for longer rides they are not as comfortable as gel or gel/foam biking shorts. Again - a lot of personal preference and things like differences in the body come into play here. For longer or more intense rides you might want to go with a more expensive short, but these are a great economical choice for shorter or medium-length rides and maybe more casual ones or for those who ride more casually in general. They are very comfortable for shorter rides though, I want to emphasize that. After a number of years they may have faded in color a little bit (I have the blue ones) and my wife's orange ones seemed to have faded a bit more, though she has fewer shorts so her's have been washed many more times than mine.Durability-wise the padding has compressed a bit but they are still usable. The design is nice, very modern and they look nice. The padding is in the right place as long as you have the right size. Too big and the padding probably is not going to be quite right.Outside of some fading and a bit of loss of padding thickness (typical of any foam shorts over time) the material has held up perfectly, no thinning of the lycra/spandex that I can see and no rips or tearing or wearing at the thighs. So a pretty good pair of shorts overall, though for longterm durability and longer rides maybe you want something more expensive, for shorter rides these re a great cheap choice.

Nice Budget shorts
Okay. Have had these for over a year now so I thought maybe I can chime in. They've been a fairly good shorts for what I do. Most my rides are 25 miles or less, but I'd have to say I've got a couple thousand miles out of them. I hand wash mine and hang dry them of course. They are starting to show some wear and I'll be using these as a back up. If I get through this year with them too, I'd call that a victory. Everybody wants to know about fit. Don't blame you. I wear a 38 and ordered a size xxl and it works out. I haven't had problem with see-through material, so modesty hasn't been a problem. Had to do some minor repair stitching once, but I've put these through some tough miles. The padding seems decent and absorbent. So, for a budget pair of cycling shorts, not bad. Keep in mind it's like buying a pair of shoes though - you get what you pay for. If you're just entering the cycling shorts world at least they're not going to bust the bank.

Great Shorts, but sizing is off
I originally got the 3X version of these since I usually wear a 40 waist (under stomach) - biking to lose weight! I got them and they were very baggy... I returned them and got a 1X which fit perfectly (around my stomach). So you may want to get a smaller verison than the sizing that they have on the site. The pants are high quality and look really good. The padding is in a perfect position and keeps everything nice and cushioned from the seat. The material feels good and does not rub or pull (I have hairy legs, so I cannot have pulling). The band around the bottom part stays in place and you do not even realize their is anything their. The top band goes around my stomach and high up the bike (to hide your back when the wind blows your shirt behind you).Washing is easy, I just wash/dry them with my other clothe, I have not had any problem (I wash with eco warm and dry regular (sense and dry) on my washer/dryer). No shrinkage or anything, they come out clean and like new! These are great shorts and fit great! I really like these and they were a great price! They look great, fit great, and work great! Highly recommend!!

The pad does not seem properly placed
This is my first foray into padded bike shorts, so I am by far no means an expert on the subject. What you see is what you get... and I won't lie I bought these mainly because I thought the white stripes matched by bike. I've put a few hundred miles on them and the construction seems sound and they don't ride up or anything. It's not too hot or wet down there despite having a pad.Unfortunately for me the pad misses the mark in terms of placement. Just for reference I am a 5'10 225 lb guy. I felt that the pad went too far forward and was covering my genital area. This may have some aesthetic purpose for people out there, but for it was didn't serve a useful purpose. By far a worse problem was that the pad did not go back far enough. My butt bones either missed the pad completely or the pad half covered it (granted while distracting there was never a risk for a callus or blister). It just seems a shame as I felt if they just shifted the whole thing back an inch or so I would have been completely happy.I gave it 3 stars because the shorts are 90% functional. It's just too bad that last ten percent is the main reason why I wanted padded shorts in the first place!

Great product for the price! Much quicker shipping than advertised!
For the price, I think they are great. Of course, this is the first pair of bicycling shorts I have bought so I don't have much to compare them with and I may not have been spoiled yet to another higher quality brand. The padding is just as I expected, but the relief it gave me from my tiny bicycle seat is definitely not. A friend of mine who bikes a lot told me after the fact that I should have gotten shorts with gel instead of foam padding... Not sure how much better gel is but maybe food for thought for my next purchase. I do notice that these shorts tend to slide down ever so slightly, but that may be due to my build, with my gut pushing them down lol. I'm 5'8", 195. Maybe I'll try a bib next time, although they don't look comfortable...Oh, and I think I received them a week after ordering, although Amazon estimated almost a month. They still show on Amazon as "will arrive in" 3 more weeks, but I got the package 3 days ago :)
