This is our 2nd Hosim X08/X07 and it is a great hobby grade RC car/truck. We've ownee several Hosim RC cars and this by far is one of their best. Lots of metal parts (gears, drive shafts, axels). This thing is FAST but easy to control with the pistol grip controller. I love the fact that Hosim has lots of available replacement parts on Amazon and their website. This truck came with 2 body shells and includes a wheelie bar. Comes with a few spare parts included (hub wrench, screwdriver, wheel nuts, axel pins, etc.. & a parts bag) The two 2600 batteries can be paired together but it did not come with the dual battery connector, I'll look for this accessory on hosim's site. I know they have this for their 91xx series cars so maybe the same connector works on the XSeries or is just not available for purchase yet. Looks like they do offer an optional 5200 replacement battery. The 2600 Batteries charge quick and last a good 20-25 minutes of near non-stop run time. This car so far appears to be very durable. Can't say enough good things about this car. It is one of their more expensive models but appears to be well worth the price and at a fraction of what Traxxas cost at hobby shops. These RC cars are pretty tough and will take lots of bumps and jumps, hours of fun and easy to work on if needed. Highly recommend the X Series from Hosim!

Hosim does it again!!! Wow! This is the perfect rtr starter car to get anyone interested in working mechanically for fun. Instead of necessity. As so many many cars are. This rc being as "durable" as it is will lead the new owner to search for body supporting, go fast upgrades and more. Instead of the normal repairing to bash and then break to fix cycle... I searched long and hard for the best budget grade rtr Rc car. My search had me absolutely pointed in one direction. Basically right toward Hosim and their line of Premium Brushless racing rc cars. Hosim is light-years beyond their most immediate competition and should be as proud of their product as they obviously are. Starting at the front. The X08 is a sharp looking and intelligently designed rc. With dual wishbone suspension including well fed oil shocks. Super dampening for obstacles and handling bumps at high speed. Which are about 40mph out the box is impressive in its own. I'm coming from larger size rc to this wonder takes some adjusting! The all metal suspension and drive is very strong. It has a dog bone driveshaft that runs under the mounted 2845 motor with plenty of room for upgrades!! As a self proclaimed MacGyver this has serious potential and it's so good out of the box it's hard to find anything to do. That is except to support the body by taping method etc.

** Update ** I’ll be asking for a refund on this. I have to tighten wheel nuts multiple times in one 2s run. It will not hold trim. Constantly adjusting. And the way the radio works you have to release the trigger off throttle completely to avoid drag brake. If you reduce throttle it applies drag brake. This makes controlling it on any kind of jump almost impossible. I’m not even listing everything. There are many better options for this price. I’ll report back if the return process is a hassle. DO NOT RECOMMEND. So: Cogging, drag break applied at full speed if you don’t completely release throttle, wheel nuts that loosen within 4-5 min. Blue loctite didn’t work. Erratic delay. This is a good looking truck and not only comes with two hard pack lipos but comes with 2 bodies as well! I do wish the wheels were a solid color. The red doesn’t look so good with the body that has pink on it which is a shame because that body is nice! It has good speed. It will usually ( See next paragraph :/ ) pull nice wheelies, the range is plenty good enough, and it handles well for what it is. It’s a great grab and go or backyard truck for sure and I’ve been having a great time with it. After 5 packs ( 2s ) through it I’ll say that while it is fun - if you are used to higher end RC you’ll feel a noticeable decrease in quality while driving it. The radio is just slow. It can be managed - but it just isn’t great. It also has a drag break that sometimes kicks in strongly while it’s going fast and you release the throttle and sometimes doesn’t. But my main issue is with the radio binding to the truck. I repeat the same startup process every time I turn it on. Follow the directions to a T. Yet the throttle dual rate seems different every time. ???? It’s just odd. There is also a lot of competition at this price. Imex with upgraded shocks. Wltoys. Other Amazon brands. So it really needed to stand out and I just don’t think it does.

*UPDATE* Hosim customer support is awesome and stood next to their product, I don’t know if I got a lemon or what 1st time around but contacted Hosim and they sent out replacement parts and after multiple issues they sent out a whole new car, new car is working great with zero issues, great customer service and they are there to help and correct it all. Cheap and broke within 5 mins of driving it, front CV drive shafts broke, contacted Hosim and great customer service and sent out a replacement part and replaced front cv drive shafts, drove it again and front differential gear shredded, replaced that and drove it again and main driveshaft broke, I gave up on it after that, only ran it on the 2s batteries that came with it, never ran it on 3s, also when replacing parts found multiple screws that were stripped out from the factory, the customer service is great but the product is junk, don’t waste your money on it.

Used item. Came dirty. One of the wheels wasnt even turning.... Very unsatisfied.

They gave me the used car and after one use there was something wrong with differential so had to return it.

Appears that the diffs or driveshaft is buggered straight out of the box :/
