Surviving the Horrors of Resident Evil 7
As a long-time fan of the Resident Evil franchise, I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into the latest addition: Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Gold Edition for PlayStation 4. And let me tell you, this game did not disappoint. From the moment I started playing, I was immersed in the game's creepy atmosphere, complete with creaky floorboards, flickering lights, and the constant sound of my own heartbeat pounding in my ears. The graphics are stunning, with every detail of the dilapidated Louisiana plantation captured in breathtaking detail. But what really sets Resident Evil 7 apart is the gameplay. This is survival horror at its finest, with every encounter with the game's grotesque enemies leaving me on the edge of my seat. The combat system is intuitive and satisfying, and the variety of weapons at your disposal ensures that you're never left feeling helpless. The Gold Edition of Resident Evil 7 also includes all of the DLC, adding even more value to an already impressive game. The additional content provides further insight into the game's twisted storyline and gives players even more opportunities to test their survival skills. But be warned, this game is not for the faint of heart. The jump scares are plentiful, and the grotesque enemies will haunt your dreams long after you've turned off your console. But for those brave enough to face the horrors of Resident Evil 7, the rewards are well worth it. In short, Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Gold Edition is a must-have for any survival horror fan. With its stunning graphics, intense gameplay, and hours of additional content, this game will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. Just don't forget to bring a change of pants.

I've played them all
Great game, gives the franchise a good palette cleanse after things were starting to get a little stale. Don't get me wrong, I love the whole franchise, even messy number 6 that preceded this. But Resident Evil 7 is good in its own right and also succeeds as sort of a soft reboot.

Simply put, my favorite Resident Evil of all time so far!
I have played every Resident Evil to date and I can easily say that Resident Evil 7 is truly my favorite in the whole franchise. At first I thought that the whole first person thing was going to change the game and not make it feel like a Resident Evil, I was so wrong. If anything it felt much more like the older Resident Evils the survival horror ones like 1 2 and 3 much more than it felt like the later more action-filled games. Resident Evil 7 felt like survival horror again, out of all the Resident Evils Resident Evil 7 has truly made me jump out of my seat the most and kept me at the edge of my seat the most. If you are a Resident Evil fan and I'm wondering if this is something you should pick up don't even waste your time thinking about it just order the Gold Edition it's more than worth it! Plus it brings $40 free worth of DLC content and the DLC content is extremely fun, I already beat the game and I can't help but continue to play the DLC content and I plan on eventually playing the game again on hard. Such a joy to play, if you are a horror fan and love really screwed up messed up stuff then you will really love this game. I would recommend not looking up anything about the game like I did I just went into the game not knowing anything about it and honestly that made me enjoy the game even more. A very solid game, honestly with all the DLC content and the regular game itself I would honestly give it a perfect score in my opinion period was very hard to find flaws with this game. Funny part is I didn't even play it with the VR, that's what kept me from buying this game in the first place was that I wanted to play it with the VR. Then I saw a few reviews where people mentioned that you don't even need the VR to enjoy this game, they were so right! Without VR just playing it on my regular TV screen this game made me jump out of my seat and had me hooked. Highly recommend this game, if you are not sure if you should pick up take my advice and pick up the Gold Edition today it will truly not disappoint.

The scariest RE game in the entire series.
After many third person games this one change to first person shatters any safety you had. Usually the RE games put you against the ropes but with a fighting chance. This one removes any semblance of security or heroism. You feel vulnerable and genuinely afraid. Also the location is top notch, and the sounds of the house put you on the edge every time you hear a creak or a "wet" sound. A really scary game, even scarier than the RE2 remake or RE4.

The best Resident evil game since “Resident Evil 5”
I really enjoy this game for its atmosphere, it’s gameplay, voice acting, graphics, it’s music, and most of all the feel I get from it 1.The gameplay It’s fluent and it feels good to actually move like a normal person. Every resident evil game I have played has had one thing that plagues some of the enjoyment, and that is the controls. For the first time in Resident evil, you feel super fluent with motion. However, a downside would be feeling very sluggish. As long a games mechanics in a Resident evil game aren’t as bad as sixes control feel you got something going for you 2 voice acting The voice acting for this game is amazing, with all the emotions they get to come across to the audience with ease. The real stars are with Jack and maugerite, and they are crazy, and you feel it with every step and word that comes out of them. However, even though Lucas was the weakest of the 3 villains, he still gave an Amazing performance with him feeling like a high tech version of the hitchhiker from the Texas chainsaw massacre. Everyone else is great, even though Ethan May be the weakest, he really comes across as the player, where it feels like YOU are ETHAN 3. Music, Graphics, and Atmosphere While resident evil feels good to play, the atmosphere of the game is amazing, Resident evil always works best when it gets you immersed into the atmosphere, whether it would be horror or action. These things work amazing for Resident evil 7, the feeling you get just moving around and exploring is just like classic Resident evil is nostalgic, and feels new at the same time with just how rare it is find a game this well made with these ideas intact. One small negative is that the puzzles aren’t that hard, even I was stumped like 3 times, and used YouTube once, the puzzles were easy as pie. But there is nothing that beats running from all the enemies and running into a safe room to hear that calming melody. At points it pays huge homages to Texas chainsaw massacre by playing the same noises from the movie. But the Texas chainsaw massacre vibes work for this installment, but it’s still good when it gets to classic Resident evil when it’s a the venom monster parts, however it can get annoying being killed by them over and over again. I always hear complaints about Resident evil 7 losing its stigma as the game goes on after the family, number one to that is that’s basically a lie as it has that pace for about 2/3, 2nd they say fighting all the uninteresting venom monster gets old, all I got to say about that is have you ever played any other zombie or resident evil game, cause that’s all the enemies(except bosses basically). 4. The cons While I have many praise for this game there is some down side. The first is the replay ability m, resident evil 4 and resident evil 5 are games that I have sunken days into, I don’t think I could do the same for this game, it’s kinda 1 and done buts it an amazing one an done. 2nd would Be the boat mission on Ethan and Mia’s ending, it’s boring kinda goes nowhere it’s confusing and it’s just not that fun. 3rd would be the dlc and mini games the mini games are 1 note and just kinda there and they don’t give much interest or insentive to play them, while I like the action of “NOT A HERO” it’s a little awkward with the mechanics of re7 bits it the better of the 2 dlcs, which the latter end of Zoe it fun for the first 35 minutes, after that though the difficulty in its poor game design just get way too frustrating for me to handle Over all Resident evil 7 is the best game to hold the title of “Resident Evil” in a long time and it gives a good taste in the mouth after how bad Resident evil 6 was and is. Over all I would feel a Strong 8 to a Light 9 out of ten

While I personally thought RE5 was pretty good, and didn't hate RE6 most fans felt ...
Finally! This is the Resident Evil longtime fans have been asking for. While I personally thought RE5 was pretty good, and didn't hate RE6 most fans felt like it was the death of the series and with good reason. There were moments in RE6 that felt like a Michael Bay movie with huge explosions and Godzilla sized monsters rampaging in the streets. Thankfully, that is all gone. Resident Evil 7 is pure survival horror , with emphasis on horror. This is without a doubt the scariest game I have ever played. There were moments were I had actual dread and didn't want to go into the next room for fear of what was inside. And that's a good thing. While ammo isn't as scarce as the earliest game, you will still need to make every shot count and that adds to the tension, like it should. Overall, I think RE7 is just about perfect for what it is. My only complaint is that it has almost nothing to do with Resident Evil. The game eludes to Umbrella possibly being responsible, but never outright names them. I didn't mind it too much, but it's a little irritating because it feels like this could have/should have been a new IP, but Capcom wanted name recognition for sales. But that's a minor gripe for such an excellent game. Also, if you have the opportunity to play with quality headphones or surround sound do so. It has possibly the best video game surround sound I've ever heard and made me finally feel like the Sony 3D headphones were a worthy purchase.

7 is Heaven
I was so impressed -- and had such a good time playing -- RE Village that I decided to try RE7, which had also garnered excellent reviews. Well, I'm happy to report that this survival horror adventure does NOT disappoint. No, I really don't understand why the evil girl here is causing everyone to putrify or turn into mold creatures, but now that I'm starting the last of six chapters in RE7, I can report that the game really serves up the thrills, chills, and excitement of discovering clues to puzzles and fighting degraded monsters! I have been playing at the easy setting, and although I die occasionally, I have been able to progress without having to replay from earlier save points. Phew! When I've gotten stuck, I have consulted an excellent walkthrough at GameFAQs that invariably provides me with the solution I overlooked in the chaos of the derelict world. And at least at the easy setting, I seem to have enough weapons, ammo, and health refills to keep me one step ahead of the monsters. Well, most of the time anyway! In all, I highly recommend RE7 for fans of survival horror...
