Primrose 20cm Stainless Steel Curved Arc Waterfall Blade Outdoor Cascade Bottom Supply

Love this water fall and the fish love it to. I've seen lots of reviews saying about the fitting required, are difficult to source. Yes it doesn't come with a hose fitting, but it is a standard 1" BSP thread. I had a 25mm hose from my 6000 lpm pump so easy found a 1" BSP to 25mm barb hose tail on Amazon but would be available from any aquatic store. I did try look for fittings at DIY stores the closest I got was a water butt connector but they wasn't 1" thread. I love the visual and the sound from the water fall and the fish love swimming through the bubbles it makes.

Secured to decking with 10mm lag bolts. Eventually I got this waterfall fitted to my pond without a leak but it was a real pain. From memory the fitting required is a 1 and a quarter inch BSP thread. This was readily available from a local aquatics shop. The problem was the thread in the actual waterfall had not been cut very well and I ended up having to clean it with a file which was not an easy job. I sealed the thread with some pond liner repair glue and the waterfall works fine. It has been in place for 3-months with no rust although I did spray it with a generous amount of silicone lubricant before installing. My koi love it and the stainless steel looks great with my pond lighs reflecting off it. I got the 45 cm version which needs about 6000 lpm. I have a 10000 lpm pump so i had to divert some of the flow directly to the pond to get a nice clean blade of water. Connected downstream of filter.

Very pleased with the product, but a couple of comments....(1) it doesn't come with the screw-in hose connector needed. I bought a plastic one and found that the thread in the waterfall's casing had quite a few burrs which made screwing in the connector challenging.(2) the product claims to be installable either with the hose below or form the back. I fail to see how the latter can be achieved, given the configuration. There's only one way as far as I can see.Looks lovely now that it's up and running, though.

On opening the package, was delighted with the item, but like most other reviewers am disappointed that the connector is not with it, surely if this is the manufacturers standard fitting for all their cascades, it would cost a couple of pence to add it with the blade, even put a quid on the cost of the blade, I’m sure most people would be happy that it was included. It is not even mentioned as an add on item during purchase 😟

The media could not be loaded. I purchased this blade so I could fit my winter cover on top of my pond. Super easy to install, screw 32mm hose tail connector ( not included) into bottom of blade and attach flexi hose fits directly underneath blade and two screws hole to attach. Looks beautiful, sound of running water so calming, my fish love it.

Really goodOnly down fall when the wind blows it empties half the pond as it just gets blown about to best to turn off in bad weather

Nice item but very poor quality stainless steel - would you believe from new it was left outside overnight and it rained. In the morning I found it had rusted all over. To their credit Primrose accepted a return and refunded without question.
