As a hairstylist with a very strong focus on men’s hair for over 20 years, I applaud the guys at Highland for what they are doing. A product line with quality and minimal ingredients we can actually read and understand. This clay is what I have always wanted!! Sure you’ll see some reviews talking about how there isn’t enough hold or it’s not even a medium hold when it says it’s strong hold on the package, but you have to understand, when a product is this clean, strong hold isn’t going to feel like the strong hold in the garbage products most of us have used. This is a strong hold, in terms of keeping your best natural look all day. Something you can work into place, then continuously run your hands through all day and it still looks great. The men’s clay from Davines does a wonderful job at this too, but there’s something about the finish of this product that literally brings out such a healthy natural look. Not shiny either and definitely does not give you a wet look out of the shower. If you see that kind of review, the guy most likely has greasy hair, is using cheap conditioner, or perhaps applied too much. Don’t over use this product in your application, you get the best out it. Amazing work Highland, keep it up!

This is a great pomade. I have thinning hair and it works really well. Adds volume and texture to my hair without it being stiff. The smell is fantastic! I will definitely buy again.

I like the texture and the smell, and I like how it doesn’t leave a sticky residue on my hands. That being said, the hold is just ok and I think it’s really overpriced for how much you get.

I bought this pomade for my husband and he absolutely loves it! After using so many different cheap junk hair products from the grocery store, it was great to find something that focused on quality of ingredients and the product that they put out. It's so easy to use, makes his hair and scalp feel great, and he only needs to use a small amount to get the look he wants! He has short/medium hair and wears it messy and this is the perfect pomade for a medium hold. Will definitely be buying more!!

I have used a lot of Pomades and hair products over the years and have always been searching for one that had high hold but wasn’t greasy. My search has finally ended with this amazing clay pomade. I have thick short to medium length hair. It does a great job creating a natural look for both a neat part or messy “bed head” look. I also love that it is good for your hair and almost acts a little like a leave in dry shampoo. Second and even third day hair looks great with this product. This is my second tin and will be my go to product for my mane moving forward! Can’t recommend enough for anyone looking for natural products that are healthy for your hair and outperform the synthetic goop out there!

I wish I loved this more. The cons: It’s pretty difficult to work with (let alone scoop it out of the canister). Even with damp hair, it’s extremely thick and sticky, and you really have to pull hard to evenly spread it around. The workability is far inferior to a petroleum-based product like Cremo or American Crew. It’s almost like the consistency of tree sap if you’re familiar. The pros: Once you manage to get it to a place you like, it has a wonderful matte texture and a loose hold, which gives a much more casual, natural look compared to other products. It also smells fantastic. Very evergreen-forward which I enjoy. Overall, this isn’t a daily product for me just because it’s so hard to work with, but on the weekends when I have extra time to mess around, or if I don’t mind the look slowly getting messy throughout the day, this is a great option! Solid 3-stars.

I’ve tried a lot of different hair clays and pomades over the years, and this one stands out. It’s easy to scoop and work into my hair, and it styles perfectly without being stiff, which is hard to find. The hold is strong enough to last all day, but my hair still looks natural and flexible, not crunchy or greasy. A little goes a long way, and it applies evenly without clumping. I also like that it doesn’t weigh my hair down and washes out easily at the end of the day. Overall, this is just a solid, reliable product that actually does what it claims and I will definitely purchase it again.
