This is a very well built doorknob. We wanted a sliding bar door on our bathroom. Problem was the closet in the hallway next to the bathroom. The doorknob was sticking out too far to allow the door to slide past it. So I searched for a recessed doorknob and found this one. It was perfect with the way it was made and the ring/knob to open and close it. My mistake, I failed to read the total ad about the doorknob that it does not work for US applications! The issue was the bolts that attached the knob to a standard door did not have any female bolts. So, I went to Lowes and got a pair of male/female bolts for doors, and boom, problem solved! So, be careful when ordering. Just know you will need additional hardware to make it work, but it is a very good doorknob.

While the product looks great, it’s entirely unusable for three reasons. (1) it came with only one cross-member bar (the bar that joins each handle) and it was about an inch+ too large for normal doors (not sure who has a 2+ inch thick door in their house needing this kind of handle).. (2) even after fixing the length of the cross member bar, the screws to connect either side of the handle are far too short; (3) even if the screws were the correct length, there’s nothing for them to screw into. They’re missing the female threaded side. This is cheap garbage. Don’t even bother.

I’m not sure about other peoples doors but my closet doors are predrilled with a 2” diameter handle hole so the mounting hardware is useless. They provide half inch screws that they expect you to screw the handle into something? Not sure what they were thinking, most closet doors I have seen are usually hollow and light. I also had an issue with the spindle length. I need a 2” spindle to fit (1/4” into both handle slots and 1 1/2” to for the door thickness). Both spindles provided are far too long; maybe my doors are thin? Really not sure. I fixed the issues by cutting one of the spindles down to size and went to the hardware store and got two bolts and nuts so the handles use the compression of the screws to hold themselves together like most other door knobs. The handles themselves fixed my issue (a door nearby hitting the handle of this door when opened) so overall my issue is resolved.

Does not fit. Looks like i may have received the wrong items. I don't recommend. There's no way for the knobs to hold themselves onto the door. Returned.

It is mainly installed on doors with a thickness of 35-55mm" A standard US door is about 1 3/8" 35mm. this cannot be installed (as shipped) with either of the crossbars provided without modifying it. the smaller cross bar is about 5/16" (8mm) too long. the other crossbar would be for a door about 2 inches thick, I don't know of anyone with doors that thick. the listing pictures show the longer bar would be for a 2.45" (62mm) thick door (also absurd). the door knob is not made for a door with an already drilled 2 1/8" hole as there is nothing to screw the screws in to that hold the handles on. US doors have a machine threaded female socket on one of the door handles, and the screw that holds them on go in the other door knob and hold them together. This knob is meant to go on a door that has no holes drilled in it, and the knobs are held on by screwing in to the wood of the door. I was able to get mine installed by cutting down the smaller crossbar, and making some wood inserts to fill the space where the old door knob was. it's not ideal and if it was installed on a door that gets heavy usage it would probably break, but mine is installed on an air handler closet that will rarely get opened. it also came with no instructions (which I don't need) so some people might not know how to install it. The picture in the listing here are not instructions. otherwise the thing is of very good quality.

Perfect for the tight clearance on my elevator door. Wish they made one with lever handle on one side.

Products doesn’t fit a standard door, missing parts and no directions either. Trying to figure out way to install it. But not even sure as there is no way to screw the handles in. Junk don’t waste your money or time

This worked great in the bathroom door of a friends camper as there was not a lot of space. Would recommend for sure

The second photo shows what a regular handle should have to attach the two sides together. The first photo shows what it came with. We were in a bind and had no choice but to cut pieces off the old one to make this work. All they would offer me was a $10 credit when we paid $45! Buyer beware. Do not buy!

Ordered first time and 2 latches came instead of a latch and handle. Returned, then reordered, came this time with 2 sets of handles! Rather annoying. The handles seem good quality however let down by poor order picking.

Works very well but missing a few critical dimensions. The only way the swivel handle is holding onto the door is through the very small screws hidden behind the rotating portion of the nob. These screws are close together and fall within the pre-drilled standard hole of a standard door... I had to buy plates to cover most of the existing hole and additional hardware in order to fit these onto my existing door.

Updated- seller contacted very quickly. Offered partial refund for missing part. Very satisfied. Using for a utility closet so interior doesn't really matter. The shorter of the two door bolts was missing. Took some creativity to install. Outside looks great. Inside.... I guess it works...
