I got this to solder copper water pipes in my house. Long story short, I would not recommend this for plumbing unless you need only a small amount to do a repair. If you're doing a home renovation like I am and need to solder multiple connections and joints, get a Lead-free silver bearing wire solder instead. I found this difficult, though not impossible to work with. It was probably due to the fact that this solder is much thinner and has a lower melting point than the silver solder I usually use. That being said, the connections made were solid and I had no issues after I completed the project. I can see this being good for crafts and jewelry making. The thinner gauge and lower melting point would be good when doing more intricate work where finer precision is necessary.

Easy to use, better for health, and has a nice shiny finish. Works the best of any lead-free solder I’ve used.

I used this to solder outdoor copper pipes. It worked great. Pipes were easy to solder and now several weeks later they are holding up just fine.

I'm no plumber. Soldered 13 half inch fittings. No leaks.
