This THONAPA 12 Gauge Heavy Duty Extension Cord appears to be very well made. I wanted a cord that was not made in China (package says made in Vietnam) and was UL Certified which this cord is. Considering this cord is 12 gauge it is very flexible and served my needs well. I would highly recommend this brand.

This seems very well made and is almost always handy to have. My husband's cords are getting ratty and scary so I am just slowly disappearing them and replacing them, shhh lol.

I'm not sure when it occurred, from manufacturer, amazon, or transit, but the cord itself had a thin layer of grease on the outside. this could be a normal process for heavy duty weatherproof cords, i wouldn't know, but just so potential buyers are aware that it's there! It doesn't impede any functions of the cord, nor does it leave residue on the floor, you can just feel it when you are spooling it out and in. But other than that one thing, it has been nothing but excellent, it has been in frequent use the past few months and it has shown zero signs of wear, no cord damage, no loose female connection, or any misshaped/bent prongs. I'd highly recommend this product and I will definitely be purchasing this product again when the need arises.

Extension cord is very durable. The real benefit is that, for extending a 15A circuit, this cord's thicker wire reduces the voltage drop from 7.58 V using AWG 14 (-6.32%) to an acceptable 4.76 V (-3.97%) using AWG 12. Remember that the electricity traverses out and back (200').
