Pelican Voyager Samsung Galaxy S8 Active Case (Clear/Grey)

I don't usually right reviews, so here it goes.Simply put, Awesome case. It does add a substantial bit of size to the phone, only real downside. BUT, it's a work phone and bulletproof case, no compromises given. It was not built go be sleek and sexy, and you get what you pay for. And it not obnoxiously bigger then any other case either, it is just bigger.The great/best thing about this case though is that it does NOT have a built in screen protector. There is a stick on one included (I opted for another brand protector, nothing against the provided one, I just already had one installed). Which is what I wanted. There is nothing worse then paying 90$ for a lifeproof or similar case with the built in screen protector, only having to replace the whole fricking case when the "screen protector" is all scratched up. Crappy design flaw if you ask me. They got it right with the Nüüd, but that's only available with the iPhone. Also ridiculous.So again, no built in screen protector, but will accommodate an aftermarket screen protector easily.Instead, go out and get an invisishield screen protector, or something else, and replace as needed. Between the two, absolutely fantastic combination to make an already durable phone almost indestructible.On a side note, don't get a glass screen protector for your active. The screen isn't glass on purpose, so it can bend, flex, and absorb on impact (aka shatterproof) One is crippling the advantages of not having glass on the screen by adding in what was left out by design.Hope this helps someone.

I buy pelican cases for my firearms so I thought this would be a good buy.It is every bit as much over-engineered and functional as the gun cases. Maybe if you dropped it out of a plane onto concrete, the phone would break. also, the holster seems sturdy enough that I might rely on it when hiking while hunting through heavy brush.given that this is my first day with it, I will post a revised review should my opinion change.the screen protector that comes with it is lightweight, but given how high the case rises over the screen, it would have to be a pretty big rock that you were here to break the screen, so the flimsy protector is enough, in my opinion. I had ordered glass protectors, but now I am sending them back.

I have bought quite a few of these cases, I know they are life time warranty. The problem is my dogs must know they are too. I've never had a problem with the case , just my dogs scratching it up. I also drop it quite a bit. I guess its doing its job , when you take the phone out of the case , it still looks as good as when I bought it new. I've had one on it since it come out of the box.

fit S-8 active good. the open screen button is a little hard to push to open, just a little more pressure than I am used to. belt clip works good, holds phone tight. You can flip the phone in case and use the belt clip to hold phone to sun visor and use google maps or the clip acts as a stand for table use. over all 5 stars and would buy again

So after years of using otterboxes, I bought a pelican case for my galaxy s6 Active. It was great. In 2019 I bought this case for my s8 active which had gone unprotected for too long. My biggest gripe is this case is not nearly as grippy on the outside as the one was for the S6. I don't know why they had the change what I consider to be a good feature. Second thing which is just due to the size of the phone, it was extremely hard to find belt pouch that fits it

PRODUCT WAS DAMAGED! I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WHEN I OPENED THE UNDAMAGED PACKAGING TO FIND THAT THE CASE ITSELF WAS DAMAGED INSIDE. I HAD BEEN SHOPPING FOR AN OTTER BOX BUT COULDN'T FIND ONE MADE FOR THIS PHONE. WAS TOLD BY THE AT&T GUY THAT THE PELICAN BRAND WAS JUST AS GOOD AS OTTER BOX. FOR THE PRICE I WAS EXPECTING SOMETHING COMPARABLE. GAVE IT A 1 STAR UNTIL I RECEIVE THE REPLACEMENT. .AT THAT TIME I MAY CHANGE MY REVIEW WHEN THE NEW ONE COMES.UPDATE...New case came today. Fits well. Seems durable, so I'm optimistic.
