LufkinG2 25-ft Autolock Tape Measure- L1225BAL-02

The thing that really makes this tape measure great for me is the contrast on yellow marks on black tape versus black marks on yellow tape, in my opinion I can see the yellow marks and numbers much better during bright and low light conditions, the black tape reduces glare.

I wanted a durable tape with easy to read markings on both sides. This tape checks all the boxes. It has survived several drops onto hard surfaces with no damage. The markings are easy to read, the belt clip has a handy thumb tab to make it easier to clip on things, and the spring brake is easy to use. This will be my go-to brand for tapes going forward.

A Good Self-Locking Tape Measure. Not as kink-resistant or as easy to read as described, and a bit overpriced. This tape does its job fairly well, but doesn't have the strength nor does it have the easiest reading markings, which were the primary selling/marketing points.

Feels solid, appears well made, tape is stiff enough to extend at least 6 feet. Large numbers on a black field are very appreciated by old eyes. The easy on clip appreciated by old, arthritic hands. The back side of the tape has the numbers in the vertical position; especially useful when working with a builders level or at a distance. The through hole in the corner of the case allows it to be used to draw basic large circles or arcs. Same hole can be used to tie it to your belt when working on a ladder, roof, in the cross trees, similar. Heavy but nothing to do about that in a durable steel tape. Instantly became my favorite when not measuring a muffin pan.

Not as nice as I thought the fat max auto stop is better and smoother but will say it’s easy to read and durable as hell

The material and contour supplies a very sure and comfortable grip - so ergonomics are excellent for my hands...a little heavier and bigger than most. The tape control is easy w/ the tape lock button, very intuitive. Tape dimensions are easy to read and the zero hook works well.I have not used it much - I hope that it holds up in an outdoor work environment.K

I don’t write many reviews but this is tsp nice I had to. I hate when the lock doesn’t lock and the tape slides down while u are trying to measure. This one lock firm. Not to mention the durability. Get the black night eye. The contrast is awesome.
