Castor and Pollux Organix Organic Dry Dry Cat Food

My Savannah is 5 years old and was born with a really bad illness. She has a SUPER sensitive stomach and was hospitalized 2 years ago due to her previous food (which was a good brand for Sensitive cats) she’s had issues all her life.This is the only food that my cat can eat without having ANY issues, it’s really good quality and my girl has never been sick again!

My cats don't always like the organic natural brands but they all eat this right up!

after finding this food morally I just could never go back, the ingredients list is tiny which I love, they aren't getting loaded with tons of fillers, the only reason I took away one star is I wish I could order a larger bag, I have two indoor cats and one bag lasts us about a month.

One of our two cats developed some dietary problem about two years ago. First we eliminated grain, and that worked for a while, then the random vomiting returned. Fortunately, one of our friends took advantage of a weekend sale that allowed the stores rewards members to sample higher end pet foods for free and gave us four small bags of dry food from two different manufacturers in two different flavors from each manufacturer. Our cats would not eat either flavor from on source, but ate Castor and Pollux. Amazon was much cheaper than the national chain store.

What is not to love?!! Organically grown, high quality ingredients, no toxic fillers and binders or indigestible grains! Our 7 cats ALL love this food! (Dry food however could not be found in nature and is not a good stand alone food for any cat.)

CYSTITIS! PHOSPHOROUS HUGE AMOUNT compared to wet food! "1.22%" according to the company! (and another food of theirs has 1.3%)! But they say "all of our recipes are formulated to either meet or exceed AAFCO nutritional guidelines, and this is true for our phosphorous levels as well."I emailed them because OUR CAT GOT CYSTITIS FROM THIS FOOD! VET SAID DO NOT USE THIS! Comparatively their canned food, some have .17% up to .27% phosphorous. We now have to use Hill's Science diet. If our cat had been male, it would have needed surgery or death now! Our cat ate this food for years and became ill, CYSTITIS with bleeding. Still not fixed after months. Company gave no agreement to me telling them they should have warning label and should lower their phosphorous amount in this product! ALSO, CATS GET TOO LITTLE LIQUID FROM EATING DRY FOOD! And if something stresses them, that also increases cause on top of these. This food company betrayed our trust in it and harmed our cat! And as another responder says, "phosphorous is not listed"!!! WHY NOT REVEAL IT ON PACKAGE? You find out when its already harmed you!---Previous review (below only happened for one bag, not recently. guess i can only update not add new review):(bought this a bit early before needed it, so feedback seller isnt showing?) we got down into the middle of the bag by now, and now there are fist-sized sections of just dust/powder-ized food. this is the first time this happened. bough this for several years all seemed good before. expensive food to then find loads of it in total powder form. hopefully the powder is actually the food. seems to be, but? what could have done this? it was packaged this way. we do not want this to happen again!

My cats have been eating this food for about a year now and my one cat loves his dry food. This is a staple for him. Lately though, even at the stores, they seem to not have any of this brand in stock. Whole foods, PetSmart, Petco. I have not needed to buy another bag in possibly over a month and now that we need more it has been out of stock. I am very disappointed now because I made an order over three weeks ago and I had to wait a week, my cats had no dry food at this point now, for them to just cancel my order. I immediately reodered it again and waited a whole other week for them to cancel it again. Like I said, all the while I am looking at the stores to see if I can atleast get a smaller bag, but to no avail. Even buying the cans in this brand we have had to switch brands because it was becoming way more expensive online and harder to find in the store. I am very upset because this has wasted so much of my time and my cats time too because I know my cat has been waiting for this food and he is so confused on why he doesn't have it every day now. I feel so bad about it. They need to have it say out of stock instead of someone waiting a whole week just for them to cancel it. Now I have to find another brand.

The ingredients & quality are key. I can buy cheaper food, but believe my cats deserve quality over fillers.
