Surf Science: An Introduction to Waves for Surfing Paperback – Illustrated, March 31, 2014

Excellent book. Just technical enough!

If you are passionate about surfing and you want increase you knowledge of waves and elevate your surfing experience buy this book. Any truly avid surfer (like myself) should not only own this book but study it.

I liked the straightforward descriptive aspects of the book. The author does a nice job explaining the ideas at a non expert level.

This book is fascinating and very approachable without being overly simplified. I'll never look at the ocean the same way again and I feel like I understand why my home break behaves the way it does. Would highly recommend for any surfer interested in boosting their knowledge about waves.

Ordered this for my son who is both a science geek and a young surfer for Christmas and everyone who’s picked it up has said “Woah, this is cool!”. The photo and illustrations are nice and the science is though yet not intimidating.Thanks!
