La Sportiva Mens Ultra Raptor II GTX Trail Running Shoes

the shoes are well made and should last a long time. Going to use them for everyday and hiking.

As suggested by other reviewers, I went one size up on these shoes. The shoes are thus a bit longer than my usual size, but they are wide enough for my feet to fit with no issues. The sole is stiffer than I expected though. I have another old pair of Raptor I Sportiva (with no GTX), one size smaller. Compared to the Raptor I, these Raptor II with GTX feel stiffer and heavier as well. The collar feels also hard around the ankles. So far, I have not walked very comfortably in them. I have only worn them for a week and my hope is to feel them less stiff as I use them more often.

Like the stability, protection, and grippy sole. Do not like that It takes multiple tries to find the right size. This brand is usually narrow and shorter than the size indicated. Also in a short period of time trying them on around our house I noted they are a lot warmer than other gtx/ waterproof shoes. Weight is good , pricey, look a little too much like plastic.

NOT WATERPROOF! These have GTX (GoreTex) which is supposed to give you a waterproof barrier. They are not.

This is my third pair, the first two were not wide and always hurt my feet just a little. This pair I finally decide to order the wide and it’s so much more comfortable. These seem to run smaller and narrower than most. They hold up great to everyday use, from working on pavement to hiking and everything else. Over a year per pair when any other pair of shoes has struggled to last me over 6 months.

After some experience with LaSportiva I always buy a 1/2 size larger. Even with a wide, they are a bit snug. FWIW, YMMV. Good shoes and comfortable. Cheers

It's my second pair of La Sportiva shoes very good I walk a lot every day they are resistant and confortable!
