Game-Changer for Cleaning – Love This Wet-Dry Vac!
I recently purchased the BISSELL CrossWave HydroSteam Deluxe Wet Dry Vac, and I’m absolutely thrilled with how well it works! It’s become an essential part of my cleaning routine...especially with having 4 dogs! The fact that this vacuum both vacuums and washes your floors at the same time is a total game-changer! I have hardwood floors, and the CrossWave does an excellent job of picking up dust, dirt, and debris while leaving the floors clean and shiny. The HydroSteam feature is amazing – it really helps break down stuck-on grime and bacteria, making my floors feel so much fresher than just a regular mop. The steam is gentle yet effective, and I love knowing I’m sanitizing as I clean. I love how versatile this model is. It works great on both hard floors and area rugs. I can easily switch between modes with the push of a button, making it perfect for my mixed flooring. It’s surprisingly lightweight for a multi-functional vacuum. The swivel steering makes it really easy to maneuver around furniture, and I don’t have to strain to get to corners or edges. The tank is easy to fill and empty, and the self-cleaning feature is a huge plus. The machine cleans itself after every use, which makes maintenance a breeze. I don’t have to worry about cleaning the brushes or hoses manually – they get cleaned automatically!

The most fabulous floor cleaner ever!
Love my crosswave! We have lots of tile and wood floors to keep clean. Plus can easily touch up rugs too. Great quality and functionality - easy to use. Especially like the steam cleaning.

Nearly perfect for ceramic tile w/ deep grout and grooves!
Update 12/09/23: I’ve included pictures of our tile floor types and they get cleaner with every cleaning! We now have a dog in our household along with 4 kitties and 4 humans, so TONS of fur and kitty litter, and human messes lol! I have been using ‘It’s Naturally Clean’ floor cleaner for all types of flooring and it’s awesome! It only takes one small capful per clean water reservoir and does a phenomenal job! It’s one I discovered on EWG’s website which is for sustainable, safe product information verified unbiased and is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transparency and health for all inhabitants of Earth, including non-humans. I still use the Hydrosteam every two weeks and am down to 2-3 clean tank refills and twice as many empty bin refills. I use the automatic clean function 2 times after each use and then thoroughly rinse everything, including the very front of the unit’s head where the roller resides, quickly under hot water in my laundry sink. I recently noticed a buildup of kitty litter beginning inside the suction tube, which is to be expected as I don’t vacuum nor sweep prior to using this machine and that is the purpose of kitty litter-to absorb moisture. So I used hot water to flush the tubing from where the dirty water reservoir would reside and ran the water through until it came clean and I’ve had no problems but will update if anything changes 👍🏽 I also recently brought this to my friend’s house where she has dark hardwood flooring throughout her 3900 sq. ft. house and every little speck of anything shows on it. She wanted to test it out and is also buying one because she was so impressed as was I and there were no streaks. We used the hard floor setting on her wood floors and the steam function on her tiled areas in bathrooms and laundry room. She was wearing a somewhat new pair of Nike shoes that’s she’s worn for a few months inside and outside, and after the cleaning of the first section of her floors, her shoes ‘squeaked’ on those areas-both tile and wood-but none of the others in her house and she said “I now understand what the saying squeaky clean means” lol! Needless to say she was impressed and is also going to buy the Naturally it’s Clean Floor Cleaner to use in her new Bissell Hydrosteam! *End Update* This is an almost perfect cleaning device! We have a 4 person household with 4 cats which includes lots of fur, food particles, and litter tracking. I do a full house (3000 sq. ft.) clean every two weeks and more than half of our house is tile and the remainder is high pile carpet. I thought purchasing this I would still have to use my Dyson vacuum to vacuum around the edges and corners of the tile floors. Fortunately this does not need to occur! I am truly amazed at the engineering that went into this tool and am still in awe of the suction power and steam mopping capabilities! The ceramic tile in our house has very wide but deep grout circa 2003 and was professionally cleaned upon moving into it in 2012. Over the years it has built up discolored residues in heavily used areas of the house mostly in the kitchen around the sink, dishwasher, and stove where the grout is very dark and dirty. This vac mop visibly and noticeably made a positive improvement upon the first use as I could literally see the grime being sucked up! I’ve used this twice so far and am so happy with my purchase. I’ve owned and own several Bissell products over the years-Big Green Carpet cleaner (which I sent to my mom a few years ago since she’s older and would rent carpet cleaners every few months to clean her expensive and almost 40 year old Persian rugs so I wanted to alleviate that taxing burden for her), steam mop, Pro Pet Revolution Carpet Cleaner, and pet mess hand wet/dry vacuum which looks like what some may know as a dust buster from back in the day). All these products are awesome except that the quality of the steam mop wasn’t up to my experience with Bissell standards that I’m accustomed. The steam mop was $70-80 new but I bought it used on Amazon in 12/2022 and it began leaking a couple of months ago which is a common problem with that model based upon reviews. My assumption is that you get what you pay for more often than not and same saying applies to Bissell. I store this Hydrosteam vac in the garage next to an outlet for the self-cleaning function which is loud and much louder than the actual cleaning functions. The self-cleaning capability is also awesome and works very well. I do it twice after use as per instructions and used the brush roll cleaning sample solution included, and follow the instructions for cleaning and storing except that I allow everything to thoroughly dry for several days before reassembly. This vac mop is much quieter than I expected and much quieter than my Dyson vac which is a huge plus for me and the kitties though they still don’t like it! I look forward to a future when human machines and motors have very little to nonexistent sound! The cons of this product for me are minor and do not warrant a return for something that saves me much time and energy with cleaning obligations. The cons so far are: 1) I wish the cord was slightly longer and that the cord holder clip held it in place a little tighter. I had more issues with the cord dislodging during my first use so that could be due to user error; however, I was more mindful of trying to keep it in place during my second use 2) The size of this unit is great and it’s very lightweight and the maneuverability is impressive! The only place I cannot use this for my tile is around 1 toilet (3 total toilets in house) on one of the sides nor around the backside of any of the toilets. But I’ve just modified my cleaning regiment to use my sponge to clean these areas during bathroom cleaning. 3) I wish the wastewater/dirty water tank had a larger capacity. Actually it would be better if both tanks had larger capacities, but the clean water tank capacity has allowed two cleaning passes per one emptying of the dirty water tank. However, I do hold the trigger the majority of the time I’m using this vac mop and a trigger lock would also be a nice addition. I was dumping the dirty water tank into the toilet but this was messier for me so I now just use the kitchen sink with garbage disposer. I give the dirty water tank a rinse after each dumping except I don’t rinse the filter, which isn’t actually that dirty even at the end, until I’m finished cleaning. Most of the dirty material ends up in the dirty water tank plastic sifting part which I will empty into the garbage can opposed to garbage disposal sink if it’s really full of mostly cat fur which occurs after the kitchen and the kitties ADU area. For more than half of 3000 sq. ft. of use with this vac mop, for which I use the steam setting the entire time, I empty and refill the tanks 3-4 times for clean water tank and 6-8 times for the dirty water tank. I was using Bissell’s Natural Pet Floor Cleaner for Crosswave machine which I had purchased for my Bissell Revolution Pet Carpet Cleaner because I don’t like all of the excess, unnecessary, and unhealthy chemicals used in many cleaning products these days. I’m going to try a truly ‘natural’ floor cleaning product next time I clean with this unit and will update my review based upon that experience and also provide pictures of my tile floors. I was so excited to leave a review for this lol because it is really awesome and I’m so impressed overall! Oh last point to mention is that I do have to make a few passes over some dried on gunk usually food related and/or pet related but this unit still saves me soooo much time and energy. I’ve found the most efficient solution to clean these dried on filths is to make a pass over it, holding the trigger, and letting the cleaning solution soak while I clean around it and then I’ll come back to it and clean it up which sometimes does take more than once. I’ll also clean these spots from different angles depending on the grooves and fissures in the tiles. I have recommended this cleaning unit to everyone I know because it is such a beneficial addition to my cleaning routine and really provides a deep thorough cleaning with ease of use and also mostly cleans itself at least for the brushroll which would be the most time consuming part if manual cleaning was necessitated

A true all-in-one!
It definitely saves time and is truly an all in one! Our home is all hard floors with wood and tile. It cleans it well and picks up dog hair, debris, and even dried washable paint with a few continuous passes. I do have to wipe out the dog hair from the roller cover a couple times but can keep going. We have area rugs and throw rugs and it does a great job giving them a nice refresh. It does not clean grout lines super well (but I don't think anything does other than a good ole scrub by hand). I wish it had a hose attachment to get hard to reach areas. We have a couple shag rugs and it doesn't do a great job on those, but low pile rugs it does fine. Overall, happy with the purchase and would do it again!

RUN! Do not buy this or anything Bissell - Updated review
Update review down to 1 star : Steam function stopped working already and now the solution/water disbursement has completely stopped. Nothin is plugged up, I checked and when you press the button to disperse the solution, it just makes a noise and does nothing!! And of course Bissell said hey, it's no under warranty. Apparently they only honor 3 months. Purchase Date : April 6th : dead in the water : July 13, a whole 7 days past their luxurious warranty. Go buy something else. This is the 2nd one of the Crosswaves I have had. The first one lasted 2 years. I'm done with the Bissell brand. Side note : even my professional carpet cleaner, you know the $500 one, stopped working too after just a year, they honor no warranty on that either. I'll give it 4 stars and here is why. I'll start here, this is replacing my PetPro because I wanted an all in 1 with steamer function for sanitizing my floor and the suction power of the PetPro became lackluster. So, I have tested this on my hardwood floors that are light in color and on my huge area rug that is in the family room that is white and very light grey. I have a Husky that goes in and out all the time so dirt is always tracked in. This got all the dog. hair up off the floors be it hardwood or area rug. I was able to get the dirty paw prints off my very light area rug after a few passes. It's going to leave the area rug damp when you are done just like any other steam cleaner for rugs. The rug wasn't soaked when I was finished. I tested out the steam function. This is why it gets 4 stars. It's a warm steam, not a hot steam so it's not going to properly sanitize your floor. It's also not hot enough to get something that may have smashed and stuck/dried itself to the floor (I was hoping it would, but no it will not). Is it better than my PetPro even when that one was new, yes. It definitely has a stronger suction than the PetPro even when it was new and worked properly. These types of units are only means for surface cleaning and not a deep down clean when it comes to rugs. It'll clean your hardwood just as well as a mop after you have vacuumed or swept your floors. If you wan't to deep clean your rugs with a steam cleaner made for rugs, then you will need a deep cleaner as this is for surface really. I still have mine from when I had carpet in the house so I'm good there. Can you use this as your primary vacuum? No, because there are not extension to attach like a regular vacuum and the suction is about 2/3rds of a normal vacuum. A normal vacuum also allows you to raise and lower the rollers for what type of flooring you are on to get a deeper clean, at least when it comes to rugs/carpet. You cannot do that with this unit and it's not intended to do so. There is nothing currently on the market that takes a regular vacuum cleaner and meshes it with a deep steam cleaner. Look at this as an add on for your house cleaning when you are wanting to do a light cleaning. I do this daily. I steam clean my rugs every month for a deep clean. Not even the Tineco models that cost 3 to 5x the amount of this one will do it all or any better. I did buy a Tineco S7 along with this one so I could compare side by side their abilities and what you really get since I saw them advertised everywhere with mixed reviews. I'm keeping the Bissell and sending the Tineco S7 back because it doesn't do any better of a job than the Bissell IMHO including the steam function. The other brand isn't worth the extra cost even though it seems to be slightly better built. How long will this one last? Who knows as no one makes anything to last more than a few years. If this lasts as long as the PetPro I had at this cost, then fine IMHO. Everything is built to no longer work right as the warranty runs out or perhaps a year after anyways. One last note : Will this leave streaks on your hardwood floors, especially on darker floors, Yes, it will be highly noticeable. I noticed it on my very light floors as the light reflected, so I went over it again without solution to suck up the residual water. It did leave a slight residue on the floor since I was using solution. This is where I get lucky. Since I had the PetPro and the water/solution bottle fits this one too. I went back over the floors with straight water. It got up the residue and I also noticed it didn't leave streaks, so I think the streaking issue has something to do with the solution. I know this has been a long review, but it's an honest one. Use this as a daily cleaning around the house. Use a regular vacuum once a week for deep cleaning. Use an actual Steam cleaner for your rugs for deep cleaning when you wish. I do wish the steam function got hotter than it does, yes!

This is the one! …to clean your hard floors!
Looking for a hard floor cleaner? This is the one. I bought many over the years - floor steamers, orbital scrubber, vacuum/scrubber. I typically alternate between a Hoover FloorMate, a Bissell Steam mop and a microfiber floor mop. My Hoover finally failed and looked at what was available - and opted to give this a go! Now I feel like I have all my floor cleaners in one product - and the benefits of all together! I just finished cleaning my floors on the SteamWash mode and the combination of steam with the rotating brush roll (which I think is a combination of microfiber and nylon bristles) works amazingly well. Easy to maneuver - the pivoting head is an incredible feature and makes it easy to clean along the lower cabinets without getting stuck. All the functions are intuitive. Quite effective at vacuuming up pet hair while steam cleaning the floor. The clean water and dirty water bins are easy to remove, clean out and/or fill. Cleaning the unit couldn’t be any easier with the clean out tray. Unit feels durable and of good quality - and looks sharp too. Headlight really add some value that I wouldn’t have imagined needing. Overall, just excellent.

This thing is a GEM once you figure it out
I was at the END OF MY ROPE with my floors being constantly dirty. With 2 kids, 2 dogs, and 1 husband, I just couldn't keep up. By the time I'd get them vacuumed and find time to mop, they'd be dirty again. We don't typically waste money on things like this, so I debated for a long time, and did a lot of shopping, and read a lot of reviews before I finally pulled the trigger on this model. TOTALLY WORTH IT. I did get it on sale on Black Friday, so that helped soften the blow. Pros: -Easy to operate, there's only like 3 buttons total, so its pretty easy to figure out, even for a blonde like me -Does a pretty decent job at cleaning my multiple floor types (vinyl, hard wood, area rugs, and tile). Are they as clean as a good old fashioned hands and knees scrub? No. But ain't nobody got time for that. -It picks up the dog hair without getting clogged -Refreshes area rugs without leaving them sopping wet -Self-cleaning function is WAY better than previous models, you just sit it onto the base tray and push the button -You can use whatever cleaning solution tickles your fancy, you aren't forced to buy their branded refills (ahem, Swiffer). This is nice for the crunchier families that aim for more natural/plant based products. Cons: -This thing is LOUD. Like, blender loud. Not a dealbreaker for me, but if you're planning to clean the floors after your kid is asleep, something to be aware of. -Dirty water tank holds a very small amount compared to the clean tank, so you will need to dump the dirty water multiple times during your cleaning session. Annoying, but whatever. I saw some reviews complaining about the machine leaving dirty water streaks, thats because their dirty tank is too full. Took me one time to figure that out, easy fix. -There isn't a trigger lock, so if you are cleaning large areas, your finger will get tired from holding down the trigger (first world problem here, but worth mentioning) -It is bulky. Obviously, it has to be to have room for the motor, and both the clean and dirty tanks, but compared to my stick vac, it is heavier, not as easy to maneuver, and doesn't get under the furniture. Wasn't a surprise, I knew what I was buying. Size compares to your standard bagless model. -Cleaning it out when you're done using it is totally gross if you live with heathens like I do. You do have to still take it all apart and rinse it, clean out the parts, let the roller dry, and wipe up any dirt left in the tray after the self clean cycle. Even with adding on the clean up time, I am still saving time overall compared to vacuuming and mopping in two separate steps. Overall, very happy with this model, the pros outweigh the cons for our family and needs. Is it perfect, no, and I'm sure they're working on a new model that will address some of these gripes, but thats how technology works.

Have to use the Bissell soap for it to work well.
I got this on prime day and I was less than impressed. While it worked better than the Shark, it really depended on the use of it's soap. It really didn't clean up well without it's soap using only the steam function. We did a friend's sealed wooden floor with both the Bissell and the Tineco 5 Steam mop (not the one with AI). Without the soap, the floors were still streaky and dingy. With the soap, the floors were shiny. In contrast, the Tineco got the floors clean and shiny without the help of any soap. Here were the reasons we ended up returning it. -heavy, it was much heavier than the Tineco -my short kids had trouble keeping the head of the vac/mop level with the floor while holding the handle. When the handle was at a comfortable height for the two middle kids, the head of Bissell was lifted up off the floor. -very very loud, the Tineco is much quieter as is the Shark, but the Shark does a terrible job. -had to use to soap to do a good job. I prefer to avoid spending $ on soap just to get something to work well. -didn't pick up larger items like a piece of dog food or cooked broccoli off of the floor. What's the point of being able to vacuum and mop at the same time if you have to get small stuff like dog food off of the floor?
