I bought this 75-inch Samsung Neo QLED 4K QN90C and the experience has been very positive. The image quality is one of its strongest points: the colors look vivid, the contrast is very good and the brightness works excellent even in rooms with a lot of light thanks to anti-glare technology

I purchased the QN90C 43in after thorough research into modern gaming TVs. This model's features met all my expectations: 4K, HDR, VRR, 120Hz, eARC, HDMI 2.1, and more. It delivers a stunning picture with deep, crisp blacks, narrowing the gap with OLED TVs while avoiding burn-in risks. Mini-LED technology minimizes blooming, enhancing contrast for spectacular HDR viewing. The contrast ratio between bright whites and deep blacks is fantastic. The game hub offers useful real-time stats like fps and resolution. With minimal input lag and an effective game mode, it ensures smooth gameplay without screen tearing or ghosting. Intelligent mode is highly effective in automatically analyzing the room's size, lighting, and the content being watched to fine-tune the TV's settings for the optimal viewing experience. The auto-remaster feature enhances old SD content with vibrant, HDR-like colors. Excellent AI upscaling improves the quality of content by upgrading it to 4K resolution, and a swift, responsive UI makes app navigation seamless. I highly recommend this TV.

I despise this tv, every day since I've set it up I want to pull my hair out, the user interface on this system is BEYOND horrible; I've been messing with this tv for months and it never gets easier to use. To start with the picture is stunning, I have no complaint with that, it has the deep blacks and contrast missing with less expensive 4k TVs, BUT using this nightmare is an exercise in frustration! To start with I have a full entertainment system, with a newer Onkyo 4k 7.1 channel home theater receiver; connected to the receiver via HDMI were a Blu-ray player, Roku box, multiple gaming systems and a pc, these used to connect to my older 4k tv via a hdmi out from the receiver, not anymore thanks to the engineers at Samsung. Because this tv just has to be "smart" (believe me it isn't), I can no longer hook my tv up this way, believe me I tried for days to make this work. The second you hit the power button on the bluray, the TV senses it and changes the input, there appears to be no way around this, I had to disconnect my entire system and reconnect to the tv hdmi inputs. This setup wouldn't be horrible if the Samsung interface wasn't the worst I've ever seen, first off Samsung forces you to plow though their abysmal home screen filled with crap I have zero interest in seeing every day but have no choice. Clearly Samsung's intent is not to make good tv's but instead forcing their customers into their crappy tv system (data mining anyone). It's awful and clearly deliberate, if you try to change inputs (something horribly inconvenient to do, the "smart" tv will kick you out at least 2-3 times and force you back to the ads they want you to see. I've had dozens of tv's and multiple iterations of home theater systems, I'm not new to this but connecting and using multiple sources with this TV is a continual frustration. If you just want a tv for your living room I guess this would be ok, but for a complicated home theater environment this is the absolute worst TV you could buy. Pass on this. Edited to add: Months later and 5lbs less hair, I knocked this TV down to a one star review, the interface on this TV is truly horrible by FAR the worst of any electronics I've ever used. As if that weren't bad enough the solar powered remote (how utter stupid is that) stopped charging and my tv says I need to charge it with a usb cable that is conveniently not provided. Buyer beware!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was bought for my parents and it is much loved. Samsung makes a great TV and electronics product in general. I have this same TV except a year older and series higher. So it was a safe bet to advise. The operating system is overseen by Samsung's Tiezen which is so smooth. But the picture is so lifelike and so is the sound we are always fascinated to see/hear the sound follow the voices go around the screen from character to character which makes it even more lifelike and of course, easier to follow. I use a soundbar with mine because I like a little more theater realism and voice clarity but with this one the voices are even clearer in this generation. The remote is the very nice but condensed solar remote without numbers, but you can call up the numbers with that symbol on the 123... button on the remote which then makes them appear on the screen. I'd just rather they were on the remote. It had adequate HDMI inputs and I don't use the old composite inputs anymore or analog or the fiber optic etc. So those I can't speak about, but in the past TVs from Samsung they've worked without flaw so I wouldn't have reason to believe that if it says they are included and they work. But the occasional bad one does squeak by. The TV looks great and is very thin. It also has a very thin bezel. When watching it the frame almost disappears. We mounted this on a mantle so fit wasn't a concern. But do measure your location ahead of time as ratios of screens change from time to time such as length to height of screen. Not all TVs are the same viewing ratio and will not fit the same location so please view those measurements. WiFi connection must be very fast as my parents have WiFi 6 and a pretty fast speed and they have no streaming issues as of yet. I also consider the value for dollar very high on this TV too. And it was on sale at the time I bought this for them too. But normal price is close to what I paid a year ago for my model. Good luck, thank you for reading, Erin V :-)

There is a saying ... good things are often expensive but not everything expensive is good. Well, this TV is expensive but certainly worth every penny. It boots up almost instantaneously and the colors are super sharp. Picture is crystal clear and super bright. The speakers supposedly put out 60W and the sound is better than any TV I have ever had, no sound bar needed. I get OTA antenna programming which has always been a pain in the past switching back and forth. Very easy on this TV and the OTA reception is again better than ever - it has the next-gen tuner, not sure if that is the reason why it comes in so well. Delivery was much faster that advertised. Day I received the TV it went on sale for less than I paid but the seller matched the price immediately, great service. I was debating between LG OLED and Samsung mini-LED technology. Weighing the pros and cons the Samsung Qn90C was the better choice, MUCH brighter and better picture - your mileage may vary :)

PROS: 1. The picture is... truly incredible. It's one of the most beautiful pictures I've ever seen. Really. 2. The "smart" menu is okay. There seems to be a lot of apps available, but that's expected since it's one of the most popular brands. It even has Plex. I would say that the "smart" features are above average for a TV. I generally prefer to use my Roku though. I haven't played with many of the other smart features because I don't care. For example, it comes with a gaming hub which I never tried. Personally, I wish you could turn off the "smart" menu and just have a television that would always turn on to the last input that you were using. I guess that makes me a boomer. CONS: 1. There seems to be no way to disable the Alexa feature, so when I'm watching something and someone on the TV says anything that sounds near "Alexa," the TV has a panic attack and usually mutes the audio for an inconsistent amount of time. This is really annoying since I have to pause until the sound comes back so I can continue watching. Watching a game show where one of the contestants is named "Alexa" is impossible (I'm not even joking). 2. It sometimes loses ARC connectivity with my Sonos Beam, which forces me to have to restart the TV and Sonos Beam in order for it to re-detect it. This is extremely annoying, especially because: 3. There appears to be no way to "restart" this TV from the menu. I looked everywhere. I have to unplug it and then plug it back in. This is unacceptable in 2025. Is it really that difficult to have a "restart" option in the settings menu? 4. The smart menu comes up every time the TV wakes up, so I have to select which input I want each time. This is annoying. Why can't it just go back to the input that I was last watching and I will change it if needed? 5. The remote for the TV also seems to trigger my Roku, so when I use the remote to do something on the TV, the Roku does things, which the TV detects and automatically switches to the Roku. This is dumb. I wish the TV remote wouldn't affect my Roku device. I can use the Roku remote for my Roku. 6. I am a technical person, but I think someone who is non-technical might have trouble setting up all their devices on this thing. I think they might find the method for switching devices to be a little non-intuitive if their old TV simply had an "input" or "source" button that they could press to switch the input. OTHER: - The sound is adequate for a TV of this type, but I always recommend a soundbar because even the best flat panel sound isn't good enough for me. If you buy a soundbar, make sure it supports ARC though. Despite all the negatives listed, I still love this TV. I bought it specifically for the wonderful picture, which it delivered. The negatives aren't a deal breaker per se, but I expect perfection given the very high price of this television. The Alexa crap and unplugging it frequently are truly annoying though, and it seems like those could easily be fixed if they cared. --- EDIT 11/01/2025 - I finally figured out how to turn off Alexa: All Settings > General & Privacy > Voice > Hands-free Wake-up

After 12 years of faithful service, the decision was made to retire our Sony KDL-46HX850( 46-inch 1080p/240Hz) TV. Being one of the early "Smart" TV's on the market, it's limitations over the years became greater and greater, despite providing one of the best quality picture experiences ever, this includes, but is not limited to; Apps - It came with only a handful of Apps installed, like YouTube, Internet Browsing, and Netflix. Sadly this particular TV does not allow you to download or add additional ones. Nor have said Apps updated for at least 5 years. Netflix opens and works once in a while, usually requiring multiple restarts to load. Soundbar Issues - In late 2020 we added a 7.1 Nakamichi soundbar to our setup, after our previous Vizio 5.1 system we bought shortly after the TV died. However changing channels too quickly caused the station to lose sound, requiring a complete restart of the TV and Soundbar to allow sound to flow from the TV HDMI output. Tried using Roku, but again, it never worked properly on this particular TV. It was tested however in two different Samsung models; the 2014 UN65H7150 65-Inch 1080p 240Hz, and a 2019 QN82Q90RAFXZA 82-inch 4K 120Hz and it worked fine on those two TVs. So lets' get into the actual review for this model listed in the headline.... PROS: First Impressions: Lightweight; weighs less than my 46-inch, although it doesn't have the gorilla glass my old one had. Thinner by about 3-5mm overall. Remote; approx half the size of my 2019 Samsung model with dramatic improvements - C type rechargeable port versus requiring regular batteries, and even has a photo-electric eye to allow sunlight recharging system on the back of the remote. Disney+ and Amazon Prime single app buttons added. Picture Quality; outstanding for obvious reasons; 1080p vs 4K; meaning twice as many lines of resolution. HDR which means greater color space, allowing for a wider range of colors to be displayed. Despite being only half of the frequency response of my previous set (120Hz vs 240Hz), I wanted to be sure this would not be a "noticeable" issue, so I tested this thoroughly out using movies from my personal collection that had heavy/intense action sequences, no ghosting or pixelation was detected. Sound Quality; Have never used just the standard included back-facing speakers, so I cannot comment, always have used Soundbars. Set-Up; Again this is such a breeze now compared to just a few short years ago, logging into Apps with QR codes on your phones versus typing everything out. From the time I had the unit on the wall and first powered up, until all software updates and Apps were added and logged into was less than 30 minutes. Added 6 different Apps that are used on daily basis in our household. This is now the 2nd Samsung Q90 model I've purchased in the last 4 years, and I believe they are worth every single penny. But to be fair.....I must point out the negatives. CONS: Viewing Distance - to gain the full 4K experience at my current TV size (50") I need to be no further than 6ft away, which means I need to be sitting towards the middle/end of my bed. Whereas with my old unit, thew viewing distance was nearly double, meaning I could be lying down normally and not notice a drop in picture quality. 4K vs 1080p; when watching standard definition programming (480p), my old 1080p TV wins hands down, the additional upscaling done by 4K TV's makes to my eyes, the picture less enjoyable. It's just something I've gotten used to over the years. It stuck out heavily when I bought my first 4K, watching cable channels broadcasting in 480p resolution. Since most shows/movies cable and streaming services are at least HD quality, it still upscales, where again watching on a 1080p gave a better experience in my opinion. Sound; Let's be honest, all HDTV's have terrible or barely passing audio, since they are backward facing. You are better off buying an inexpensive forward facing soundbar versus using the included speakers only. If you can afford it (and have the space), buying a 5.1 or 7.1 soundbar system is the way to go. All three of my household TV's are Samsung models, although I have had quite a few Sony models in the past, reviews between brands when I am shopping for a replacement have been pushing me steadily towards Samsung. Two terrible experiences have permanently soured me ever buying LG ever again.
