Overly impressed
Long time "car" audio guy here. I've always had JL Audio, Kicker, Mb quart.. I bought these subs not really expecting much when I put them on my boat. Only reason for purchase was due to depth issues. BUT... I am extremely impressed with the initial quality and sound. They literally shake every hatch on my 23 bulls bay, with crisp clean sound. Are they Jl 12w7s..no. but damn they sound good for the minimal $$$ spent on them.

They make your set better
Realistically, this is not a subwoofer, regardless of what the manufacturer and the spec sheet claim. It's not meant to handle super deep bass frequencies and will distort at high volume. However, it doesn't mean it's a bad product. I needed to replace my car door (and dash) speakers because they were aging and didn't sound good anymore. Considering the $20 tag, I called this a twenty buck experiment, so I went for it because I needed some bass for the setup.I tested these Pyles on an enclosure before the car doors, and they act more like a punchy bass than a deep vibrating set. I installed a pair of two way 4 inch (different manufacturer) on the dash and two of these on the front doors. I made sure to add anti vibration materials around the speakers to prevent excessive rattling. My car aftermarket set is 60W x 4, so 15W per channel. These Pyles added a deepness to the sound, making it feel better overall, but, as I said increasing the sound too much made themWould I buy this or recommend it to someone else? At the right price, yes... and as long as the person is aware what they're getting, setting their expectations on how the end product will perform.I understand Pyle has been around for a while, but they should be realistic on the specs of this unit. This is more a mid bass woofer than a subwoofer, regardless of the size and enclosure. I've seen many videos testing this and another similar unit from the same manufacturer with the same conclusion.TL;DR:+ Good sound for low powered amps or car stereo.+ Excellent as mid bass punchy sound.+ Good value if priced correctly.- Distorts at higher volume.- Bass is not deep enough to be considered a subwoofer.

Great Outdoor Subwoofer for Patio Use – Durable and Excellent Sound!
I've been using the PyleUsa Slim Marine Subwoofer as an outdoor subwoofer for my patio area, and I couldn’t be more pleased. This is actually my second one – the first one lasted a solid 5 years, exposed to the elements, before it needed replacing. I tried a Polk Audio boat sub in between, but it didn’t last more than a few months. Needless to say, I went right back to Pyle. The sound quality is fantastic, especially for an outdoor environment. While Pyle might not be considered a "hi-fi" brand, this subwoofer works exceptionally well for my needs. It delivers deep, rich bass that enhances the overall audio experience, making it perfect for outdoor gatherings or just relaxing on the patio. The waterproof feature is a huge plus, and it has held up remarkably well.If you're looking for a reliable, powerful subwoofer that can withstand outdoor conditions, this one is a great option. Highly recommended!

Cheap, low quality speaker, low quality sound.
There was a hole burned in plastic speaker cone from soldering. Speaker terminal was nearly falling off of the basket. Plastic speaker basket just feels cheap. Poly speaker cone is very flimsy. May have been okay as any type of speaker other than a subwoofer. Using a 100w Amp I can barely turn the gain up from zero, any more and speaker distorts badly. Do not recommend this speaker to anyone for anything. You will get trash sound from this low quality trash speaker.

Get your tunes on the water
Music is life and you're living your best life when out on the oen water so might as well have your music too! lolThat means you can crank up the tunes even when you're out on the open water or getting splashed on the lake. It's like having your own personal DJ wherever you go. And let me tell you... this big lil subwoofer can handle some serious splashing. I accidentally dropped it in a bucket of water once (long story), but it still worked like a charm. Talk about durability!Best feature - survived me being a clutz lol

Good
So far, just looking at it out of the box, it’s nice looking and properly made, it feels like it’s made out of plastic on the front, but it shouldn’t be a problem since it’s just the front guard. It’s definitely a good investment for 18 bucks.

Good Bang for Buck
For $50 each they deserve a solid 4 stars. These subwoofers are good for the money. They are pretty weak and under-sprung in comparison to a name brand counterpart. I’m running two of them with a 400w RMS mono amp. They can’t even handle that amount of power. (They are way over rated) They distort pretty easily at high volume. They do not hit hard like bigger brands but keep in mind they are shallow subwoofers. They do not perform well on low notes but have great mid bass. They are a nice accent to a system that has no subwoofers but do not expect them to thump like any of the big brands.Overall for the money they work good.
