Good for a wide range of applications and preferences
I got these for basic illumination via a three-bulb floor lamp. I prefer fairly strong illumination, bounced off a wall to soften the glare, and I found that 800 lumen bulbs didn't give me enough light to read. I didn't really need color-changing smart bulbs, since I really only need one setting all the time, but I thought I'd give these a try just for the fun of it. (Yes, I'm at a point in my life where light bulbs are fun.)The installation was actually fairly easy, although you wouldn't know it from reading the instructions. The bulbs turn on whether connected to WiFi or not, but you can't adjust them without a connection and an app. The instructions insist that you have to connect to a 2.4GHz WiFi network router; 5Ghz just will not work. I'm on 5GHz WiFi, but I'm not the admin, and I doubt he would want to change the network to 2.4GHz just for my light, so at first I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to make any adjustments. I installed "Smart Life" on my Android; I opened the program and found the option to add a device, and tapped "Search" to find the bulbs. Then, as directed by another reviewer, I went to the wall switch and turned it on-off-on-off-on slowly. The lights then started flashing rapidly (if you have epilepsy you might want to have someone else do the install). All three bulbs appeared on my screen, and then I was prompted to enter the WiFi password, which I did. I then tapped the box for each bulb to connect, and one by one they stopped flashing. I then was able to control each bulb individually. So, for me, the router frequency was never an issue. The bulbs can be turned on or off from the app, or from a standard wall switch. (Obviously, if the wall switch is off you can't turn them on using the app.) They keep their previous settings when power is off, so once you get the color temperature and brightness where you want it, they can be operated just like a standard bulb; you only need the app to adjust them.Because the hardware is dependent on the software, I feel I must address the operation of the "Smart Life" app as well. The basic control for brightness is a slider bar, and the adjustment for color temperature is a disc. I really don't see the purpose of a two-dimensional circle, since it is a one-dimensional left/right adjustment (vertical changes have no effect). Also, the selected color temperature is inexplicably displayed as a percent rather than being in Kelvins. I have my bulbs set to 33%, which is presumably about 3800K? I have not found a way to select a custom color, like bright green or deep purple; the product photos show a color adjustment circle with the full range of reds, greens, and blues, but I've not been able to find that function in the app. Not sure I'd ever use it anyway, since this is for my bedroom and not a trendy bar.In case you are getting mood lights for your trendy bar, the app also has options for "Scenes" which showcases the ability of these bulbs to display much richer colors--deep reds, blues, greens, purples, etc., which change every few seconds. The "Smart Life" app lets you tie a Scene to a triggering event, such as a burglar alarm or high temperature, but I don't have any other "smart" devices so I can't test that.I bought the four-pack for $6.25/bulb (not including tax/shipping), which if they last five years works out to a third of a cent per day per bulb. Totally worth it.I'm happy with the hardware, but I took off a star for confusing instructions and the clunky "Smart Life" UI. However, I don't anticipate constantly making adjustments; I've got them dialed in where I want them and from now on I'll probably just use the wall switch. Who knows? Maybe down the road I'll try at-home surgery and I'll need to set them brighter, or perhaps I'll need to develop some photographic prints and I'll want the deep red. Nice to have those options.

Grossly exaggerated lumens
Bulb pairs okay and is easy to control in the app however the wattage equivalent and lumens are exaggerated and inaccurate. I collect and test flashlights decided to test the lumens on this phone with a proper test sphere and the lumens come out to 935 lumens on high. Definitely fall way short of the 1600 lumens promised. The bulb is not bright enough for my need and since it's misrepresented I may be returning it. Disappointment when manufacturers exaggerate and list inaccurate specs just to sell products

Great for use while traveling
These light bulbs are excellent for anyone who travels a lot. Not only can you control them from anywhere through the app, you can also set them on a schedule, and you can even have them set to change based on the weather (aka, you can have them set to turn on if it's cloudy, and back off when it's sunny)!!It was initially a bit difficult to connect them to the app, but once that's done, it's super easy to control and set up schedules through the app. You can also change color and brightness. I will say it's a little bit darker than I expected, but that might just be because I use the warmest setting you can get. It doesnt bother me anyway, as I prefer mood lighting. These are everything I was looking for and more. Would absolutely recommend!!

A bright smart light with poor pairing
Pros: Affordable and BRIGHT! That was the main reason I purchased was wanting a bright smart light. Works with Google (but see Cons).Cons: VERY difficult to setup with Google. Often not completing the pairing process and having to be reset several times. Set up for 4 lights was very cumbersome and frustrating.Main takeaway: If you want a bright light that's smart and have a ton of patience and time purchase this one.

My Favorite Smart Bulbs!
Over the past couple of years, we've been slowly upgrading all the light fixtures in our home to smart bulbs. During this time, we've tried four different brands, and I can confidently say that these are my favorite! From the start, I noticed that other brands often struggled with lost connections and complicated pairing processes, which could be quite frustrating. In contrast, these smart bulbs have been incredibly reliable and easy to set up. The color spectrum and brightness are also noticeably superior to the other brands we've tried. After upgrading several rooms in my own home, I decided to purchase some bulbs for my mother as well. She has been loving the ability to schedule her lights to turn on and off, especially for her outdoor porches, and she enjoys experimenting with different colors during the holidays.Initially, I bought these bulbs just for my outdoor fixtures, but they quickly became my favorite. I ended up replacing all the other bulbs in my home with these. They’ve truly transformed our living space, providing not just convenience but also a touch of ambiance that we love. If you're looking to upgrade your lighting, I highly recommend these smart bulbs—they've exceeded all my expectations!

My Office Shines Brighter Now
I love my smart bulbs, but the old ones only went up to 100W and I needed brighter ones. Well, they got it right. These are 150W and make my office brighter. It just feels better in there. They easily pair with Alexa once you get the Tuya Smart app installed, and the sale price was great. I got four for the price of literally two.
