Made nursing THAT much better!
This has legitimately changed feeding time for me. It takes so much tension and weight off my neck and back and arms. It makes feeding easy and comfortable. The thickness and comfort vs firmness is perfect and the fact that you can latch it together (you can make it fit to your size) so it doesn’t slip and slide around, keeping baby in place, is just another part of this breastfeeding pillow that shows how thought through the design was! Absolutely recommend this quality product.

Breastfeed & Bottle Game Changer
Game Changer for breastfeeding. It supports the lower back and baby is so comfortable. Highly recommend to all moms - even to just give a bottle. Baby lays on her side and has lots of support.

Worth the money!
I am currently breastfeeding my second child. I breastfed my first for a little over a year. I have researched a lot of nursing pillows since that was what I was going to be spending a lot of my time doing. For my first child I decided to go with the Gia Nursing Pillow because I read that the boppy pillows didn’t provide enough support and that babies sink in the pillow easily, causing you to hunch over, etc. I liked that it was designed by lactation consultants and there was a raised side, and of course because of the low price! Once I used it for a while, I didn’t like having to switch it every single time I switched sides, and I found that my baby sunk in the pillow just as much as she would on a boppy pillow. I also didn’t use a cover for it since it was machine washable, and my wedding ring was constantly snagging the stitching all over the pillow. So now, it is being used to prop my baby up, although it’s trickier than a boppy pillow since both sides aren’t the same. With my second child I wanted to invest more into breastfeeding supplies, since that is something very important to me, so why not make it easier on the mom? :) I researched pillows again when I was pregnant to see what other options were out there. I was interested in the Kushies pillow, since it was foam, the baby wouldn’t sink, and I wouldn’t have to switch sides every time. I was weary that it wasn’t machine washable, wasn’t waterproof, and honestly there wasn’t a cover that I loved. If it’s going to be sitting on my couch, and I’m going to be looking at it all the time, I wanted to love it! My husband suggested I get the Brest Friend pillow because of the back support. That was pretty much the deciding factor. I was weary again because the pillow itself wasn’t machine washable, and all the reviewers were saying it was a pain to wrap around you and buckle while your baby was waiting to eat. After using it for almost a month now, I am so glad I bought it! I took the advice of some reviewers and immediately used the plastic packaging as a “waterproof” layer under my soft cover before I even used it. This way I wouldn’t have to worry about a gross foam pillow underneath, since I plan to use this for a while! Placing the plastic packaging underneath does make it a little crinkly, but it’s very minimal compared to knowing your pillow will be protected and clean for your baby. I only really notice the “crinkle” as I’m buckling it around my stomach. My baby sits high (I do the cradle hold), doesn’t move, the material of the cover is really nice and soft, and the raised head supports are a nice touch! Now the only thing that would make this better would be if I had a nursing stool -- but crossing my legs does the trick. Buckling it while your baby is hungry is not that big of a deal--it only takes 5 seconds, and you’re ready to go. I’m thankful for the back support it provides! I haven’t used the pocket yet. I kind of wish it wasn’t there because I don’t use it, but I’m sure it’s helpful for those who use nipple cream, or want to keep something small in there. Looks wise, I don’t really care for it. But again, not that big of a deal when you look at the positives! I had a lot of trouble breastfeeding my first and sought help from a lactation consultant. She was highly against all nursing pillows, claiming none give you the best position your baby needs for the perfect latch. I can totally see where she is coming from. She used waterproof pillows that you use in the hospital after delivery, and would fold them in half, push and shove them until they gave me the best support. I did like using those, and they probably do give you better support and positioning than any “nursing pillow” out there, but I like that every time I buckle the Brest Friend pillow around my waist, I am going to have the same results without any “pushing or shoving”. Quick and easy--very important for me while I’m taking the pillow off and on, off and on, all day long! I hope this is helpful for all you moms out there! Breastfeeding is hard work, and even harder if you don’t have the right tools and support. Let me know if you have any questions…I would love to help!

Mental/ Emotional Life Saver
Despite seeing multiple lactation consultants and trying to breast feed my son for weeks I was reaching the end of my sanity. I couldn’t get him positioned correctly, couldn’t get him to latch… I was twisting myself into weird positions to try to make it work and failing miserably. Both he and I were so frustrated I was ready to give up. The boppy didn’t work for me- it was too small around and bulky on my small torso and my larger chest made it so my son wasn’t at the right level. On top of that it wasn’t feasible for me to find and use 5 pillows every time he needed to eat in order to get him positioned perfectly and end up with me still being uncomfortable. My cousin told me about this pillow and I decided to try it before giving up completely in a fit of rage. Let me tell you, I could cry. The lumbar support helped my position immediately. The Velcro strap making it adjustable in size makes it a perfect, snug fit. It’s not so bulky and fits my shorter torso perfectly and works with a larger chest so much better for leveling my son to the right height. The small bumps on either side helped support my son’s head perfectly. Latching was so much easier once the positioning was there. We breastfed both sides for 45 minutes and for the first time he’s actually satisfied after eating. On top of the fact that it’s just designed fantastically, the fabric is comfortable and the pocket was a life saver not having to search for my phone to track feeding, keep track of the container for my nipple shield and have a bottle of water on hand and in easy reach. All of which would previously get lost under the mounds of pillows I needed before. Seriously. If the company needs a spokesperson, I’m your girl. Do yourself a favor. Buy the pillow. - One Tired and Incredibly Relieved and Emotional New Mom

Great for small chest
I never leave reviews but I love this thing so much I had to share my experience! My baby has latch issues and I have a small chest. The boppy does not work for me at all. I had never heard of this nursing pillow before, but a desperate google search led me here. I cannot believe how amazing this pillow is! It holds my baby up high so I can have better posture while nursing and she is so comfortable on this thing. It stays put and does not move or slide out from under her like the boppy does. I don’t need extra pillows or help from my partner to get my daughter in a good position. I just strap this thing on and we are both instantly comfortable. 10/10

Good Support, Fits Well, Hate the Fabric
I found this product works well for breastfeeding a baby, the design was thought out very well. I hate the fabric though, everything sticks to it and I was hoping it would be a more smooth, soft fabric. The adjustable buckle is nice since you're body is adjusting after having the baby. The most important thing to me was that I felt like my child was safe while using this and it met that goal. After many uses and my toddler playing with it, the product has held up well and kept it's shape.the pocket on the side has been convenient for holding the remote or my snacks. The versatility of the My Breast Friend has been great for feeding on your left or right side. The company offers a wide variety of patterns and cute designs.

Wow! This pillow has completely changed my breastfeeding experience. I was feeding the traditional way and ended up having a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders due to bad posture. This pillow is easily adjustable, sits comfortably under the breasts and my baby seems to feed much better. Well worth the money.

I swore by this pillow for my first two pregnancies but to my dismay, when I got this for my third, it was my mistake to NOT read what the ‘soft plush’ fabric was. It’s 100% polyester. Omg. I’d really think that after so many years one would improve and for babies with delicate skin, this should NEVER be used. It’s hot, scratchy and I can already foresee rashes. I’m Super upset but I’m due soon and it was my mistake to just chuck it all aside until 2 weeks before my delivery to wash everything and saw this horrid thing. So be warned.

Firm pillow, great especially for newborn stage as it helps raise baby up (rather than sink him like other softer pillows). Only complaint is that for the price, would be better if a cover was included (I bought that seperately, really helps to keep the sponge part clean and prevent discolouring).

Such a game changer for breastfeeding mums! It’s super easy and comfortable. Bub is super comfortable and relaxed during each feed. It has an adjustable strap and cute pouch for my snacks/iPhone. Need one for every room in the house.
