I’m back! And I’m going to get you FIT. Anyone familiar with my ethos will know that I love being fit because it makes me feel so damn good! Jackie and Mark, my trainers, make getting fit and staying fit FUN and so that’s what this brand new programme is all about. There are four self-contained thirty minute workouts to keep you amused, plus plenty of super cool music to keep you going. Aerobics Fit – This is a brilliant non-stop fat-burning fest with lots of cool new moves. Top Fit – Fabulous toning exercises for your bingo wings and other flabby bits up top. Bottom Fit – Squat-tastic! This workout will help you to get gorgeous legs. Kick Fit – Kick and punch your way to fitness, it is therapeutic! Yoga Stretch – Cool-down and elongate your muscles at the same time. All the workouts have a warm up at the start, and a bit of a stretch at the end, but I strongly recommend that every time you work out, you add on our wonderful Yoga Stretch at the end. It’s only a few minutes long and it’ll really help with the any aches and pains the next morning! Do TRY to exercise at least three times a week, because anything less is just not enough to make a difference and I want you to see results. Check out the special feature Davina’s Big Day Out, where you will hear stories from three lovely women who have lost weight with the help of my fitness DVDs – truly inspiring and just the motivation that you will need to get started. Don’t just get fit, get Davina Fit. It’s much more fun that way. I promise. Review: A bit addicted to Davina! - I should probably start off by saying that I'm not Davina's target audience. Not that I know what 'audience' she produces these DVDs for, but as a guy in his mid twenties I doubt she had me in mind when she came up with her range of fitness DVDs. However, as I now have them all (just this minute ordered the new one Ultimate Target!) I thought I really should review them. Davina Fit. I can honestly say this is probably one of, if not my favourite, Davina DVD. I find each self-contained workout challenging and fun, and end up feeling like I've had a decent exercise session. Using the range of DVDs she's brought out, between May and September last year I lost just over 4 stone. I ate sensibly (as Davina suggests) and did a Davina DVD 4-5 times a week. Starting a new job and Christmas meant I just sort of stopped and put half of the weight back on, but within two weeks of doing Davina DVDs this year and going back to not pigging out, I've lost almost a stone, and I use this one a lot! Aerobic Fit -- Did this one this morning at 6am and I'm sure at that time of the morning it seems harder than normal. That said, it's done by Jackie and gets you moving from the warm-up and all the way through. There's even some ab work towards the end, and I hate ab work, but I feel like I've achieved something by the end of it. There's a lot of jumping and knee lifts and jogging and gets your heart rate up. Top Fit -- Mark gets working with weights and some floor stuff to get your upper body toned. They've even thrown in some fat burning intervals so that you're still burning fat. I'm reliably informed that the more muscle you have the more calories you burn so pumping the weights and getting your heart rate up must be working wonders. I use 3kg weights at the moment and I can just about complete each exercise including all the reps. Bottom Fit -- I hate and love this section in equal measures. I'm always quite smug after finishing this because Mark really does gives your legs a pasting and works me harder I think than just mainly cardio like Aerobic Fit. There's even some interval minutes thrown in. They say it's to get your heart rate up but honestly I think it gives your legs a break. Hard going, but well worth it. Kick Fit -- My favourite. I love all kick-fit/boxercise routines and I found that out after doing Davina's Three 30 Minute workouts. It's intensive and a bit tricky but after a few goes I can do the routines and really get into it. I certainly feel it in my upper arms later on and gets my heart pumping. Overall? I love this DVD. I know some people say this is 'easier' that some of her other DVDs and they don't like the self-contained warm-up and cool down in each routine. Honestly? I like that they're part of the work out. In an ideal world I'd prefer them to be 45 minute exercise routines so that you get 30 minutes of solid working out, but that said, the work I do in twenty minutes between warming up and cooling down really is hard work not to mention the bonus Yoga stretch. And before or after an eleven hour day, most of it spent on my feet with a class of 30 children aged under 10, this is more than enough of a workout for me! I'd highly recommend this DVD and try and get a section or two into my week each week. I really enjoy watching Davina and her personality, grunts and groans not to mention positive outlook really spurs me on when I think I can't make it to the end. Jackie and Mark are a great team and their encouragement and humour makes you feel part of their little 'gang' and are better than most/all of those bland model type presenters and their celebrity clients. Well worth the money, good for beginners and those advancing to intermediate!! Review: Davina Fit DVD - LOVE IT! - I'm a Davina fitness DVD junkie and have done every one of them many times, so I bought this new addition to my collection as soon as it hit the shelves. In terms of format, there are 4 x 1/2 hour self-contained workouts (ie each has it's own warm up and cool down), plus a short yoga section for some extra stretching and improving flexibility. The 4 main sections are Aerobics Fit, Top Fit, Bottom Fit, and Kick Fit - all pretty self explanatory. If you've done any of Davina's DVDs before you'll have a fair idea of what to expect ie Jackie being very encouraging, technique-focussed, and offering the lower impact versions of the exercises; whilst Mark is the tougher of the two, pushing the reps but still making it enjoyable. Davina is her usual enthusiastic self and thankfully has toned down her interruptions which are fun the first few times but grate a little in time (skipping rope story anyone?!) So is it any good - absolutely! I would say that after Power of Three, this has become my favourite DVD - the combination and length of routines is perfect (it is probably best to do 2 of them back-to-back for a good hour and follow with the yoga stretch to get real results). There's an ab blast on every one of the 4 workouts so you always get a bit of core work in. The music is a definite improvement on the last few (what happened to the volume on High Energy Five Aerobics???) and really helps keep you going. Special credit has to go to the Bottom Fit section which has literally changed the shape of the top of my legs in just a few weeks - it's a gut wrencher! So overall - I would recommend this to anyone - if you are a first timer then work up to the reps and enjoy the chemistry between the trainers and their celeb (who is a terrific inspiration - mother of 3 and obviously in great shape). If you are already a gym buddy then use heavier weights in Top Fit and put in some serious effort in the cardio sections. Enjoy!

Macht Spaß und bringt was.
