Dogs love Barking Heads.
My dogs love Barking Heads and Amazon always has a deal on one of the flavours. ingredients are good and the size of the kibble is perfect for my 2 border collies. I mix the kibble with a little water and its gone in less than a minute. Chicken is their favourite, but lamb is a firm 2nd.

Great
Was looking for a quality kibble that was nutritious not just filling and this one was on offer so bought it. Got two bags while it was less expensive and my dog appears to enjoy it. Would buy again although won’t be for a while as we still have one bag left 😉

Good quality complete feed for larger breeds
I was recommended this brand by a dog rescuer, so thought I’d give it a go with my new greyhound. I had read that this is a better quality complete feed. He did enjoy for a couple of weeks, then lost interest in the food. Stools were okay (for a greyhound) but felt this feed was rather pricey considering my dog wasn’t overly fussed on it. Have tried a cheaper brand, and the dog seems to be getting on well with it. I’d suggest buying a smaller bag to start with to see if your dog likes it. Perfectly fine dog food, and if the dog is happy with it and you can afford to pay a little extra, then it’s worth it!

The Kibble Is Very Small For Larger Pups.
I was looking for a new kibble to transition my 6m St Bernard pup to and Large Breed food should have the larger kibble but I was shocked to find just how small Barking Heads Large Breed is, as you can see in the photograph, on the left is the Barking Heads, the middle is a standard sized kibble from Pooch & Mutt and on the right is a Large Breed kibble from the food he needs to transition from (it’s too rich for him) and I have put a teaspoon above for size reference. He just swallowed this Barking Heads kibble due to how small it is. I wouldn’t recommend this kibble if you have a giant breed puppy, unfortunately the only kibble on the market for Giant Breed (Royal Canin) is full of fillers and low on the nutrition front so Large Breed is the option I have to go for for the larger kibble that he can chew and not just swallow.
