Arrived damaged,complete scam
For how much this costs I don't want a loose stack of cheap paper in a broken binder! I cancelled this order after 1 day of the order and I wasn't allowed to cancel, and after receiving another sketchpad of the same GSM paper ,the GSM of this paper is a lie! This paper is weirdly thin compared to the other sketchbook.

This superb quality marker paper is a definite need for beginners and professionals in markers alike. The texture of the paper has no tooth/texture to it and is smoother than printer paper. It is quite light and thin, but it won't bleed, no matter how much ink you layer on. The transparency of the paper does not bother me at all, and I find that I can actually take advantage of this by placing another sheet on top of my construction lines. This technique allows me to create a homemade light-box concept (not exactly a light-box) and I can create my line-art on a separate paper. I also compared how marker ink shows up to other brands, and I found that the ink appears different when wet, but becomes very vibrant when dry. Black ink (used for line-art) does smear a bit if you don't allow it to dry fast enough, and it takes longer to dry compared to other brands. The pad is a little bit finicky, and I find that the sheets can fall out quite easily. However, if you keep flat on a flat, sturdy surface, it'll be fine. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this product. I have used Canson for a long time, so I trust each of the company's products to be incredibly well made. If you haven't decided whether to buy this marker paper, I recommend to do so. Considering how cheap it is compared to other marker paper brands, this is a great choice. All of my reviews are unbiased and I did not receive this product from the company for a review. I purchased this for my own interests.

First pad delivered had a significant crease through about 1/3 of the pages. A quick note to Amazon, and a replacement was shipped out so fast I thought it must have sent at the speed of light. Amazon didn't even have me return the damaged pad. I would have deducted a star or two due to the condition of the first pad, but the excellent customer service offset that little bump in the road, and I'm happy to give a full 5 stars. The product itself? Well, if you like to draw with markers, pen and ink, brush-type pens, or similar media, you simply cannot beat this Canson paper. It is pretty translucent, strong for its weight, and fantastic for overlays, or for use as "uber-tracing paper". It holds the ink well, with zero bleed, even when I scribble on it with something like an industrial strength marker like a Sharpie, or when I "paint" with brush and ink. The surface is incredibly smooth, with practically no "tooth", and the pad cover folds over the top of the pad (as opposed to glued to the front of the pad, making it easy to remove a sheet without tearing. I will buy again when I start to run low!

The Canson XL Marker pad was recommended to me by a professional calligrapher and after buying a pad I am so satisfied with it’s performance that I have since bought 2 more pads. It comes in 9”X 12” pads of 100 sheets. It’s translucent enough to see guidelines placed underneath the sheets and it takes very wet ink without feathering or bleeding through to the next sheet. Pilot parallel pens and dip pens work very well on this paper and it’s economical. You do have to remember that ink takes a little while to dry because the paper is not absorbent so don’t swipe your hand across or you’ll smear it. As practice paper for calligraphy I am really pleased with it.
