Rothco Stainless Steel Canteen Cup and Cover Set - Outdoor Survival Utensil Water Bottle for Camping

Works great, fits my canteen with zero problems, and held up to fire boiling without warping, even once it cooled it held its shape. Lid doesnt snap on but thats not a concern to me.

I like the fact that this item is affordable, and the lid fits very securely on top of the canteen cup. It is notable that I am an infantry veteran, and have used these out in the field before. This gives me a perspective about the durability and quality of the product.

Didn't wanna use old gear for stuff I'm gonna be eating or drinking. Steel so no worries of melting in a fire. Holds the canteens just fine. Just wish they engineered somewhere for the lid to go when it's got a bottle in the cup. For now I just have it sit on top of the lid cause it slots into that spot fine. The little loop gets in the way but it's good enough. I don't know how people aren't comprehending the handles it's almost self-explanatory.

It's exactly what it says it is. Packs well. Fits US GI issue or Nalgene canteen fit properly. Lid it helpful for actual cooking and not just boiling water.

The quality of this canteen cup and lid is great for heating food or liquid such as soup or coffee.

Used this extensively during a camping trip recently as I forgot my kettle!! Was perfect for boiling water and cooking up small side dishes like vegetables and noodles. The top is great and it can just sit on top for boiling or you can press it down further. I ended up drilling 2 holes at each end as a steam release. Would highly recommend.

I purchased this to go with my Rothco Genuine G.I. 3 Piece 1 Quart Plastic Canteen, Olive Drab and Rothco GI Style MOLLE Canteen Cover, Multicam. I love how the canteen bottle nests inside the cup, and both the cup and the bottle will fit inside the canteen cover. This stainless steel cup is great for drinking water and other beverages as it will not retain tastes or smells from fluids, but it is more than sturdy enough to cook or boil water in over a fire. Just exercise caution and comment sense if you are going to use it to cook or boil water (i.e. be sure to handle it with quality heat-resistant leather gloves to avoid burning yourself) and do not drink incredibly hot items from it as you will likely burn your lips. It will take a couple of tries to figure out how to get the handles to "lock" together, but it is a pretty ingenious idea how it works and makes it easy to hold by the handles. I think the Self Reliance Outfitters canteen cup handle is a more updated and refined design, but this is classic military styling and will be more than adequate for bushcraft and outdoor use without costing you as much.
