A terrific piece of tape and bandage scissors. Very durable, business like function, nice finish. Very reasonable cost for TWO. I asked myself this question; do I need two of these? Not really was my first thought and when I thought a bit more… of course I do. They are of stamped material that is flat black in color. The jaws open and close smoothly. When I cut through 2 layers of roll gauze, one layer of adhesive tape and one non-absorbent dressing material these scissors didn’t even notice. None of the dressing material clogged up the cutting edge or even remained on any surface of these scissors. They do have an odd shape when you first look at them. But, just put them in your hand and go to cutting up nearly anything that you might encounter as; a Doc, an EMT, a cop, firefighter or a mom cutting off her son’s torn up jeans to see what lies beneath… So, this is why you will use two pairs. They will become important to have in two different places; like the car, your emergency kit the kitchen drawer or your tackle box. Look them over on line. You will see an odd looking, open notch up top. It’s for your forefinger… Giving you added cutting force in cutting nearly any material from a tee shirt to a thick pair of pants or a flannel shirt. The cut is smooth rather than ragged by or bunched up. A terrific value for the money.

Solid build quality, especially for the low price. I use them daily to cut athletic tape. Should be good for gauze, medical tape and clothing. I haven’t tried cutting denim or cordura or seatbelt gauge material but they cut cleanly through boot laces, twine, gaffers tape, even quarter inch rope.

These are the best I've used. I've been a nurse for 20 years now and shears are something you go through pretty quickly, especially in my specialty. I've used cheap shears and expensive ones, these are the best yet. They cut through multiple layers of bandaging without a hiccup and there is a ton of leverage in those handles. I have yet to find something that even causes a bit of difficulty. Cleaning is easy, though the shears have a serrated edge, so you have to make sure your cleaning cloth gets in between the little "teeth" of the blade. Not a problem; just something to keep in mind when cleaning and disinfecting the blades. Overall, the quality seems very high - the plastic is tough, "heavy" and feels solid. The blades come together smoothly and you can feel the cutting force when they come together. I don't think I'm going to need another pair anytime soon, but if I do, I'm coming back to these!

They do what all scissors do, cut stuff. They are pretty sharp out of the package and very smooth in the scissoring action.

These are really nice scissors. They are solid, feel good in the hand and the cutting area is sharp.

I love these scissors. I’m a home health nurse, and these are a staple in my bag. I carry extra pairs to give to my wound care patients because they cut through multiple layers of dressings easily, and the price can’t be beat.
