This box is amazongly well made. I purchased it to send my sister some jewelry I bought for her in. She and I have an inside joke about trees, so I was looking for a tree related box. This was a purchase I can certainly say I do not regret. The box is solidly made, remains shut without need for a clasp, and the wood is beautiful. I honestly believe the seller is under charging for these. $10 for a hand-carved box of such beauty? I don't understand some of the negative reviews for this item that I am seeing - worse that they are being voted as helpful. If there was an issue, it's Prime - return and exchange it. That's what Amazon is for. I thought this was an amazing jewelry box, hand made, that I would have happily paid 3x as much for. Next time I am in need of a jewelry box, I'm bookmarking this seller. They clearly create great quality products.

The box is gorgeous. It's soooo hard to open though. Maybe the lid will loosen over time.

Perfect, beautiful craftsmanship

I bought this keepsake box as a container for a custom-designed gift necklace that was Celtic-themed, so the "Freya"-style tree inlay was perfect. The inexpensive (≈$12) price tag was more than a bargain, and the item was sent a day earlier than listed (two days!). If you're going to use this box to hold a delicate item, I'd suggest buying a velvet or similar cloth to hold the item inside, since it is smooth yet unvarnished wood with no liner, not that I expected one. I would also suggest adding a layer of spray varnish to seal the wood if you anticipate high humidity where it is stored. This is a very good quality item considering the very low price.

This little box is exactly what I was looking for. I'm going to fill it with beautiful agates and gift it to a family member. The carving on the box is amazing and done very well. Going to buy a second one to keep for myself.

Beautiful little box was slightly tweaked probably in shipping. I have experience work8ng with wood and was able to sand the rough ends so it fits together now. The hinges had been pushed out so after sanding I was able to push the back h8 goes and close the box hearing the box snap back together. It is a beautiful little box. But if I hadn’t known how to fix it I would have had to return as damaged in shipping. It is fragile. Needs to be packed better. And the rough wood wasn’t allowing it to close. Now it does! Beautiful fragile little box.

Leider ist diese Schatulle defekt angekommen. Ich war so Happy noch öffnen der Verpackung. Dann die Ernüchterung, die Schatulle ist sehr schlecht verleimt worden und der Deckel bestand aus 2 Teilen und abgetrennt von der Unterseite der Schatulle. Information wurde an Amazon dazu gesendet. Vorgang wird bearbeitet. Ich bin zutiefst enttäuscht, weil so spontan meine Freude verfallen ist. Die Schatulle sind sehr gut aus. Alles andere glänzt gut und ist sehr ordentlich gefertigt. Eingeschränkte Kaufempfehlung trotzdem.
